Hi Moms!

Our 7 yeard old, second grade, student needs to spend some extra time on sharpening his math and reading skills. Does anyone recommend good online sites for students or where to find printable worksheets?

Thanks in advance!

I love Khan Academy. I have three boys, 17, 11 and 8. My 17 yr old is dyslexic, my 11 yr old HFA, severe bi-polar, ADHD and sensory intregration and my 8 yr old severe allergies and mild asthma. Khan academy helped my 11 yr old learn the remainder of his multiplication tables and also helped him understand more fully how to divide and solve fractions... both of which his teachers and I had been trying to teach and help him with for over a year. Because he tends to be out of school I create lessons for him to keep up with his missing work. I enjoy using Khan academy, abcteach and school express; just to name a few. I like to google search "free printable --- worksheet" I replace the --- with the subject. I've also a found free site that allows me to create lists of their spelling and vocabulary words each week. I enter them in and then it prints out so they can trace them; which makes it easier the first couple of times when your trying to write a new word and you have bad handwritting. :)

My kids like "Funbrain" it has alot of cool games and it's free. Our school suggests "IXL"for my 2nd Grader and my 7th Grader likes it. I also heard "Hoodia Math" was good, let me know

Mathletics is absolutely fab. Our school paid for it until last year, and now they're doing something else that's really lame, I wish we still had Mathletics. I think it costs about $100 per year, which I think is too much for us to pay, but I know people who've paid up.

tutor.com is good. If you are military it is free but if not you have to pay but there is someone available 24/7. Mathletics.com is one my boys love. The school paid for them to be able to log onto it. If I think of any more I will be sure to let you know. Another one is http://www.usafelibraries.org/kids/summe... Haven't been on it yet so not sure if you have to be military. www.IXLmath.com is one my 2nd graders goes to from school
