White I was sitting on the edge of my bed my 3-year-oldstep son straddled me from behind and started bouncing. I figured he was just being silly, kids do weird things. When I got up and turned around he had his diaper off and his penis was sticking straight into the air. I asked if he had to pee pee and he said no. His penis got small again. A coupIe hours later he attempted to do the same thing. Please help.

Perhaps he is mimicking sex play he has seen elsewhere. Contact the other adults that he is around and pose questions about what he may have seen without them being aware. It may be that someone is having sex in front of him without being cautious or not caring if he is watching.
The one thing that adults often forget is that children learn A LOT through imitation!!!

'Baby boners' are not unusual, and it isn't hormone related.
However, this particular behavior in a 3 year old is not normal. I would suspect that he saw something that he is mimicking - an adult movie or tv show (not necessarily porn), witnessed a couple in the act, or - worst case scenario - has been taught to do it by someone.

Well he had his diaper on at the time i am assuming since when he was bouncing i could here that crinkling sound. And yes i know it's normal for kids to explore, i just was a bit freaked to think he was doing that on me =\.

Don't let him bounce on you while naked. Other than that just let him know that his penis is private and he needs to not play with it around other people.
The behavior you are describing is perfectly normal, but he needs someone to teach him that it's a private thing.
