Too Many Activities

my 11yr old son is involved in a couple of extracurricular activities- a performance group and baseball. But, in the fall he wants to play football, and be in the beginners band at school. He is a bright child and seems to do the best when he has a lot on his plate. (much like me) I do not want him to be overwhelmed. But I believe that if you provide and encourage positive activities then there is less time for getting into trouble. How do you know where to draw the line and how do you do it?

I think it is great that your son is very talented and interested in trying a variety of activities. To me there is no problem unless it starts interfering with your family life or school performance. I, also, believe that if children are involved in structured, positive activities they have less time to get in trouble.
