Sacajawea Dollar coins! And yeah, I'm going to be playing the Tooth Inspection/Reward angle as well. My son is a bit more than 5 1/2 yrs, and hasn't yet lost a tooth. He will... eventually.

My kids get a $1. My middle son lost his first tooth about a month before his 8th birthday. My daughter who is two years younger lost her first tooth about a month later. Hopefully, that means he will keep his big teeth forever.:)

actual gifts? Geesh, the tooth fairy has come a long way. I expect to just give my son a quarter for each tooth. He has two loose teeth currently.

I know, what you mean Shahnaz. My friend gave her kids a few DVD movies, one time she gave her son a Nintendo game console, with a couple of games, for his first tooth! I thought that was a bit much. But, whatever. Needless to say he couldn't wait to lose more teeth. My son who is 7.5 had lost only 4 teeth, and one is just starting to wriggle now.

Hi, I know all about the Tooth Fairy too well. My girl lost most of her teeth around 5 yrs. I told her that the tooth fairy collects them inorder to make space for new teeth. She inspects them and is they are in good condition she will leave a special something for u! For the first few teeth i left money under pillow. But then other little girls in class were getting gifts under their pillows........... needless to say, we had to make adjustments the next time around.

Aww I remember my son lost his first tooth, In the playground with about a million pebbles by the swing set. He was in grade 1. He was so upset that he lost his tooth there. I told him that the tooth fairy will come anyways, because you lost your first tooth, and the tooth fairy will come with every tooth you loose. He lost his 2nd tooth at the playground again at school. The third one he put in his pocket, but lost it. The 4th one I put in his very special "First tooth" container. The first tooth that came home! He has another loose tooth. I hope he doesn't lose it. The tooth fairy wants his tooth because he is an angel. I had a friend (who died) she said to me "If you cry, angels will wipe your tears away and turn it to rain". Say the tooth fairy is making a mountain of teeth for people to enter in their next life.

I'd just tell him because the tooth fairy collects teeth the way some people collect coins or stamps or whatever. If he asks why he'd collect teeth, just say you don't know, why does someone collect stamps or coins? Or ask him what he thinks about it. Might get some really funny answer! lol!
