I just found out that my 1st grader is put in a tiny room almost everyday to do hid school work. I was soo upset when I found this out. The lady in the front office jokingly said oh I forgot he was in there. My son has ADHD but its soo wrong to do this to a child. He cant read so how is he doing his school work correctly? He has a learning disablity as well. I thinking of pulling him from his school. Any ideas on a school that will give him the confidence that he needs to grow in his learning? Hes struggling everyday and on top of that I feel hes being bullied too. I want whats best for my son. Im new to Circle of Moms and thought what better place for advice then from other moms :)

you need to be going to the school and insisting on an individualized education program for him there is no reason he should be segregated from the rest of his class my son has both adhd and odd and has never had to be removed from class except when it is his choice and he has asked to use the hallway to eliminate distractions when righting a test.
