We are financially unable to put our child in pre-school

I am home-schooling my pre-schooler, and I am having a hard time finding a cheap curriculum that will prepare her for kindergarden. She is able to spell her name and count to 47, with a couple of mistakes, and she also knows most of her upper and lower case letters. I just want to make it fun and exciting!

Sounds like you are doing good. My son is in K-4 . I think they also like them to know shapes, colors, he is working on days of the week this week. They use Zoophonics to teach them ABC's. He know his abc's, numbers to 15, shapes and colors. He doesn't like to write and doesn't socialize very well if he's not getting his way. I think that is the main reason he got in. They have you fill out a form telling them what all the child can do by themselves. Like drinking from a cup with a straw, putting on clothes, going to the bathroom, and a bunch of other stuff. She also needs to know her address, and phone number I think.

Sounds like you're doing a great job already! The other important factor is socializing her with other children, that way it wont be a shock once she gets into a classroom.

the preschools in our area have grants you can apply for that are based on your income, if you qualify your child goes for free. ask the teachers if they have any programs like that
