I know this is long over due, but seeing that we are now fast approaching the 30,000 mark (and proud of it), I would like to say......\r\n\r\nHi and welcome. :D\r\n\r\nMy name is Jeanette and I\'ll be your, crazy due to lack of sleep, admin for as long as I am a member of Circle of Moms. I am a mother of 3, all under the age of 7.\r\nEverything is a new and strange adventure when it comes to you and your child entering a new stage in their life. It can be hard and sometimes overwhelming, especially when dealing with more than one child. It is wonderful to have so many willing to help one another and I am elated to see the board so active.\r\n\r\nTo anyone new at this, please feel free to start a new thread and post a response to others. This community is all about our new adventures and our past experiences of raising children ages four and up. \r\n\r\nI only ask that everyone be kind, caring, respectful and helpful to all. I hope everyone enjoys this community as much as I do. Have fun and meet new people. I’m looking forward to chatting with everyone.\r\n\r\n\r\nJean

Hello, my name is Shayna and I am the mother of a 6.5 year old son. He has Aspergers, ADHD, and some learning disabilities, but he's blossoming. We moved to North Dakota in September of 2011 and he was tested at 55% understandability for language; he is now closing in at 80%. I couldn't be more proud of him. He is smart, funny, has a great sense of humor, but he does have limitations, just like any child, or person, for that matter.

I would love another child in the future and I cannot wait until that happens.

Hello, I am new to the site and mostly read comments. I don't always post, but I should more, because many times I feel alone in raising "an only" child. I too am an only and my husband and I don't always see eye to eye on raising our only son. He has 2 siblings and doesn't understand the feelings I have.

I am a DAD. I feel as though I do all of the same things as a mom, other than the obvious anantomical and motherly related differences. I work full time in the Army healthcare field and my wife is a full time mother. We have 2 girls, 4 and 1, and another girl on the way in March 2013.

Hello, I am not sure how this works, but I am hoping this is a site where we can help each other out and share our experiences. I am a mother of seven girls. I have four teens and a 10 year old, 9 year old and 8 year old. I am having a difficult time getting my teens to help out with the house chores and caring for the younger sibling. I work full time and am exhauseted by the time I get home. Who can help me? Give me some good advice, please. I am at the brink of choas!

Hi there. Thanks for the welcome! I am a single mom living in Las Vegas. I am from England and in a rather unusual situation in that I am an ex-military wife who was forced to stay in a foreign country due to not being allowed to take my daughter home to England. I have literally 'survived' by seeking the aid and advice of strangers, all who turned out to be lovely people. Thankfully I managed to find a place to live, passed my driving test, got my green card and found a part-time job but I didnt think I would make it out here given that I was a virtual stranger with no credit history/family/friends etc etc. I currently share joint custody and although my ex volunteered to leave for a long time and I have full custody I do not have 'legal full custody'. There is certainly more to my story. However, I am wondering if there is anyone else who has been or knows of anyone having been almost trapped in another country with no resources and without permission to take their child home? It has been an extremely traumatic experience and although I have friends here now it is difficult for them to gage what it is like being a single mom let alone the circumstances.
