I know this is long over due, but seeing that we are now fast approaching the 30,000 mark (and proud of it), I would like to say......\r\n\r\nHi and welcome. :D\r\n\r\nMy name is Jeanette and I\'ll be your, crazy due to lack of sleep, admin for as long as I am a member of Circle of Moms. I am a mother of 3, all under the age of 7.\r\nEverything is a new and strange adventure when it comes to you and your child entering a new stage in their life. It can be hard and sometimes overwhelming, especially when dealing with more than one child. It is wonderful to have so many willing to help one another and I am elated to see the board so active.\r\n\r\nTo anyone new at this, please feel free to start a new thread and post a response to others. This community is all about our new adventures and our past experiences of raising children ages four and up. \r\n\r\nI only ask that everyone be kind, caring, respectful and helpful to all. I hope everyone enjoys this community as much as I do. Have fun and meet new people. I’m looking forward to chatting with everyone.\r\n\r\n\r\nJean

I am a SAHM of 5....lol 11,9 ,8, 6, 4. My oldest is getting ready to be tested for aspergers syndrome. My husband owns his own computer repair shop and we have been married for almost 12 years! We got married when we were 18 and are still in love. I look forward to meeting other moms that deal with the same issues or close to the same issues I do!

Thanks for the welcome.
I have a beautiful nine year old daughter and some nights it is hard for her to stay a sleep she will wake up at midnight and can't go back to sleep, or we'll get up in the morning and she'll tell me how many times she woke up last night. She doesn't snore or have sleep apnea or any medical condition. She just does not get a good night's rest and the weirder thing about it is she 's not cranky or tired looking she's just frustrated, which makes two of us.Any suggestions on how to help a nine year old sleep through the night.
HELP!!!!! Sleepless Mom

Wow, not having a pc in the home was awful, now I have one I can convo with everyone. I have four, a set of twin and two singles, the twins are 9 will be 10 in March of next year, two boys, the girl is 8 and the last boy is 5, that one is a challlenge. He challenges me everyday, lol. It's not easy having to deal with four children and school, on top of it trying to gain employment. I appreciate all moms in this community

Thank you for the welcome! and I agree with Caroline Stephenson are you mad! LOL I have a 4 year old and a 10 month old and they are tough enough. I commend you on your courage of 3 under 7! I have found that my hardest thing with my 4 year old is getting her to potty train. She is doing well now, but when her brother was born she wanted nothing more than to be the baby all over again. Am I alone on this? Thankfully she is now doing well.

Hello to everyone! I have four children, all of whom are now school aged (FINALLY! I think all of Nanaimo heard me cheering!) They are aged 11, 10, 8, and 6.... 13 months between the eldest 2, 18 months between the second 2, and 22 months between the third and youngest child. I had my own preschool for a while! I would love to talk with other mothers who have kids around the same age; perhaps dealing with issues in school or other issues. Looking forward to posting lots!

Hello All..my name is Tasika and I have two daughters with one soon to be 12 in December and an 8 1/2 year old. Wow, how time flies and believe me I am enjoying every bit of raising my girls. When I am not spending time being a fulltime student, mother, and wife I try and enjoy doing things that I love to do which is workout, reading, and relaxing/pampering myself. We also enjoy entertaining and spending time with friends when we don't have too much going on ourselves. I enjoy sites such as Circle of Moms because it gives me a chance to meet moms just like myself.

Hi All, my name is Mary and I have three children, 17,16 and 10 (one boy, two girls). I can't believe how fast time has flown. To think, I have a high school senior is just mind boggling. Besides being a mom, I love to read, write and will admit that I am a news junky! I also love the casino (when I can afford it) and love, love, love entertaining and feeding my friends and loved ones! I am not the greatest chef - but after a few glasses of wine... nobody notices!

I can understand how hectic life be with 3 kids under the age of 7. I am a mother of 2 kids. They are 8 and 9 now. With such close age gap, it can be a handful to handle them when they are younger.
Life can be crazy now but it won't be long before you realize they are all grown up. Treasure the different stage of life with your kids. It will be a wonderful experience when you look back.
Thanks for heading this group. I enjoy the active conversation going around among the members, helping and meeting new people.

I have a 7 yeyar oldchild with addult children, and 4 grandchildren older than him. he is the "ours" of our blended family. I came in the marriage almost 15 years ago with 5 children, and he had 2 children. I was looking at this website to reach out to other moms. I was going to join the "grandparents community, but our son is adopted. he only knows us as his parents. He knows he had older brother and sisters. We dont' really put names on the relatives very much. He is being rasised as an olnly child and is wild.. oh so wild. some problems. This community seemed open and informative and hopefully to meet some other moms.

Hello, my name is Krystal and I have two girls they are 8 and 12 so I am in the tween stage with one and the other just can't wait. My 12yro I swear is pms's all the time she cops an attitude with everything I tell her to do. I asked her to brush her hair and you would have thought I killed her with her attitude about it. My 8 yro is going to be 9 here soon shes my Vetrens day baby I think she might hit puberty before her sister and that makes her sister mad. I am glad for my girls since they have helped me through a lot of tragedy in my life. I now have a great guy who I will be marrying this October barring any problems. My girls have adjusted to him quite well we have been together for three going on four years and he's great. He took to being a dad quite well for being a bachelor with no responsibilities till he met me and my girls. I hope to help anyone who has any questions about kids going through stuff since I have done the baby thing and am moving onto the tween stage. I will probably need help myself with my tween.

God bless you Jeannette! You certainly have a lot on your plate! One thing I see there is not on here is a group for us grandparents raising grandchildren. I'm talking full time grandmoms... 24/7. There are so many reasons why we grandparents are doing this It would be great to have someone on the same wavelength to talk things over with. Also maybe a group for those of us raising children (be it grandparents, foster parents, relatives. what have you) who have been abused. It creates a whole new ballgame on how to handle things! Unfortunately there are a lot of us out there. Thanks for the great site!

Jean,

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am a single mom of a precocious five year old who will start kindergarten in a few weeks. I am a bit nervous but also very excited to see my little boy growing up so fast. His dad helps out a bit by taking him every other weekend for 24 hours. I don't get much of a break but every little bit helps. He also pitches in regularly with some child support money. I am just looking for a place to be able to express my feelings and get suggestions from other moms. He is so clingy and often won't let me out of his sight for even a minute. I know he needs me and that it is really sweet he wants to be with me, but help!!! He won't play by himself much which makes it very hard to get things done. I am getting ready to return to school as well and I wonder how this will impact him but I need to do it. Any ideas? Thanks for letting me vent. Jenn

Hi Jean,

Thanks for the welcome, this looks a great forum. Fantastic that us mum's can get together and support each other. I have three children too but mine are a little older, well 18, 17 and 10. I remember the younger days being terrific fun but terribly tiring as I have been a single mum for the majority of the time. Have lots of experience with kids in general as have been playgroup assistant, teachers assistant and Sunday school helper at various points in my children's lives. I'm looking to work in health and social care now, with people with mental health needs the adult sector. But I still miss the days of playing alongside kids and helping them learn. So I will be avidly reading posts on here and ccommenting on anything I can help with. Also from time to time asking some questions. One area I still haven't conquered to perfection is sleep times, any advice there welcome :-). Look forward to some conversations.
