I can use bleach on whites but what about pinks and lighter colors?

I WAS A SPRAY BOTTLE FROM THE DOLLAR STORE AND MIX HALF AMMONIA AND HALF PINE SOL. REAL PINE SOL, NOT THE KNOCK OFF KIND. IF U USE THE CHEAP PINE SOL IT WONT WORK AS WELL. THIS LITTLE MIX GETS STAINS OUTTA EVERYTHING!!!! IF U SMOKE IF WILL TAKE THE TAR FROM THE SMOKE OFF THE HEAD LINER OF UR CAR AND THE SEATS. IT GETS GRASS STAINS OUT. ITS GREAT ON GREASE STAINS TOO. FOR CLOTHES, SPRAY ON AND RUB IN A BIT AND PUT IN WASHER. I LIVE BY THIS STUFF. I HAVE NEVER CAME ACROSS ANYTHING THAT U CANT PUT IT ON. I USE IT IN THE BATHROOM, TO CLEAN MY CARPETS, IN THE CAR ON CLOTHES, I CAN KEEP GOING BUT I WILL BE HERE FOREVER!! I HOPE IT WORKS FOR U. GOOD LUCK!!

Simple green, you can pre-treat it or just pour it on full strength and let soak. It is amazing!

I use regular dawn or peroxide for most stains! It's very cheap and on hand and works well! =)

For stains caused by grass, coffee, tea, fruits, berries, cola, grease, many sauces and tar: try soaking the stains in full strength white vinegar before washing and then drying in the sun.
This is better for the environment and much cheaper than using many chemical products and normally has the same or even better results.

Thanks for all the comments! I have the Spray N Wash w/Resolve for whites, I guess I should get the one for colors too, in the mean time I will try the other suggestions! Thanks again!

S.O.S or Nursery Magic. Both have natural enzymes that get rid of smoke/odor/stain -- out of clothing, carpeting, and is safe on almost all fabrics. My sister in law got chocolate on her white pants - she sprayed that on there, and it was out almost instantly. Even takes off pen!

I would try pretreating with laundry soap before washing. If that doesn't work try a pre-treater like Shout or Spray and Wash.

Good luck!

I forgot to mention do not dry the item until you know the stain is out.  Drying sets the stain...cooks it into the fabric.
