during summer vaca you have your kiddos all the time so what do you do? can't always go to the beach cause where i live sometimes its just too hot or its rainy. what do you do with them to make sure they aren't bored out of their minds.

arts and crafts are always a big hit, you can go to online sites and look up different ideas. simple things like making necklaces out of fruit loops, or paper chains, that keeps them busy and interested. riding bikes or going to the pool is always nice. playing board games and cards thats fun too. going to the library is free and checking out movies and books is always fun. also joannes and walmart usually have all kinds of arts and crafts for sale anywhere from 3-10 dollars. hope this helps.

Lazy around the house
Read a lot of books from the library
Go visit Grandma and Grandpa
Visit local state and national parks
Jump on the trampoline after dark and then spend the night under the stars.

We do camp activities. We paint, we make sand candles, we tie-dye t-shirts, we enjoy each other. We go to the library, we take care of our garden, we take care of the produce from the garden. We read, we watch movies, we make tents. :) Jeepers, the list is endless.

I don't know how old your kids are, but when they were younger, we would take bikerides or walks to parks. (Luckily, we live in close proximity to a bunch of parks/playgrounds.) A small pool, sprinkler, slip n' slide, or even waterguns kept them busy on hot days. Now that they're a little older, I try to plan 1 or 2 fun things each week, such as mini-golf, bowling, a movie, museum, etc. When it's raining, we play board games, or Wii! If they ever complain about being bored, I tell them they can vacuum, clean, or do laundry! Sometimes they even help with the housework! You can't think of stuff to keep your kids busy ALL of the time. Get them involved in sports, suggest they play a game together, or get them some easy summer reads--even comic books.(It's entertainment, AND it's still reading!)
