why do kids ages 8-15 eat so much??

my daughter is constantly eating non-stop; is like i have to buy a seperate refrigerator for her only..lol

lol...I was just asking myself the same question...My "8" year old son eats more food than that of myself or my boyfriend.

My sons eat alot, my girls back then were more worried about there figure, as is my step granddaughter she is just to skinny for 14!

Their could be a health issue like low blood sugar. But keep in mind that kids bodies need extra food & sleep for growth spurts.(which are usually 2 to 3 times per year) Unless they have a weight issue, they should be free to eat as much as they want.

Stasha is right, she's growing - and it doesn't stop at 15. The more active they are the more they eat. My 16 year old son eats about 1/2 of what I make for dinner and the other 4 of us eat the other half! I have to cook much larger quantities to keep up with his needs......

Much as we hate to think about this fact, this is the time when our children are no longer just putting their food energy into getting bigger and playing! As sexual maturity approaches, our bodies require more food to supply energy for developing reproductive organs!
