Hi Transplant moms!

I am so excited for you Janeah! Don't be nervous, I did a lot of research, as many of you have, on it before having my first child post-transplant. Annika Overgaard from Denmark is currently pregnant post-transplant and apart of my circle and she is doing well. When you do switch medications, it's best you do it two months before you want to starty "trying" because I have had a miscarriage in result of the cellcept that was in my system too early on. My first baby post-transplant was very successful, as many of them are with post-transplant recipients. If you have any questions let me know!

Hello everyone- I had a kidney tranplant one year ago, and have a three year old daughter. I will be switching medications and beginning the process of trying to have a child post transplant sometime next year. I am a little nervous about what to expect, since the doctors are not offering much information besides safe medications. Any advice or experiences would be great!

Bless you Angie! I am so glad there are loving people like you out there that take care of us. I'm blessed with a loving husband also who has taken care of me through thick and thin! I hate to have him wait on me all the time, so I try to do things by myself. He humbles me though and keeps me strong! We are now expecting our second baby after having one after post-transplantation. I'm extremely blessed!

Hi everyone I am not a transplant mom but a transplant wife...although our whole family sat through dialysis with my hubby and we didn't leave his side from the minute he went into the hospital, so I feel like I just didn't feel the pain and discomfort. It is great to see people on here though with longer term success with their transplant...and reading the stories about potential rejection sends that feeling directly to my heart. It is nice to know that there are people out there who get it and live a similar life as us. All the things that become an issue when you are a transplant family.
