I feel like I am the only wife of one of this guy that travels up and down the riverways for 30 days or more on end. Is there anyone who is in my type situation?

Yeah, there isn't really a specific group to fit into. Can't really complain myself with the 2 week on, 2 week off schedule, give or take depending on conditions. My husband went on a 3 month trip out on the west coast once, and it seemed to take forever -- when he finally got home, I felt like I was cheating on him with him, I'd been alone so long. I can't imagine that being the regular schedule, especially now that we have an 18 mo... There are so many things to miss.

Yes! I feel the same way! My husband works for K-Sea Transportation gone for 35 home 35. Going on his 55th day this week (went back early to help ugh). He is dues back on (sure your used to this as well) either the 7th 8th or 9th. We don't really have a place to go do we? There is military wives, single moms, than this travelling moms. But, it's hard to find others very glad to have found you on here. I have a 4 year old son named Austin husband is Don I am Crystal. We live in Washington State husband flies out of Seattle and usually just hangs off coast of California. Finally got him off the Alaska route. If you want to chat and share info and struggles would love to chat.

Yes! I'm surprised no one else is out there. My husband works on the East Coast on a tug, but usually just for a couple weeks at a shot.
