My hubby is in the Australian Army, we have 2 almost teenage daughters and a little boy due in May. My hubby is away in general for 4 - 6 months of the year. it is on and off so not too bad and we are used to it. however in the last 15 months he has been away for 11 1/2 months. During his deployment to the middle east i miscarried a little boy in the 4th month. Life can definately be tough. thankfully he has been home for the last 6 weeks and it looks like it he wont have to go away again until around march.

Army life is definitely unique. i find the coming and giong all of the time harder to deal with than long separations. if he is away for months at a time we settle into a new routine and get on with life, if he is coming and going every few weeks/months our routine changes all of the time.

But he loves his job.

how terrible to have lost a baby especially when ur hubby was away, i have only just found the circle of mums and u are my second new mum i have spoken 2 the other mum is in a same position as me with having children with special needs and i think its great to b able 2 speke 2 other people around the world. are u from australia am only from the rainy grey u.k.  my hubby is away for 4mths then hes home in april then away again in may 2 afghanastan, u get used to ur own routine then when there bk all hell breaks loose very difficult life. well hope 2 speke soon. charlotte.
