Do you have more virtual friends than real life friends?

I do.

I have a group of online friends who are like-minded and in the same stage in their life. My local friends all work FT so I chat w/them during the day thru IMs. Crazy huh?

I'm a social creature and am active in my community and in the PTA but I do pretty much keep holed up at home. My hubby is in Sales and spends the week socializing against his will! lol When it comes to the weekend he wants to stay home, and I want to be with him.

I don't mind, altho sometimes I feel like I'm better socially online than I am IRL social settings! Ack! I know the kids and I will be getting out of the house a bunch this summer. We'll be chattin' up people all over the state!

I definatly have more online friends than real life especially if you count the ones i know in real life but only comunicate through text. I"m sooooo lonely i keep trying to arrange outings but no one is ever availible when I am. Tonight for example i envited 10 girls i used to know well over for games/cards drinks and said kids were welcome they could play in the bedrooms with mine so no one had daycare as an excuse but no one came. So i ended up just sipping martini's by myself while the kids watched tv.

I think it is easier to be social online, you don't have to worry about scheduling conflicts, or actually packing the kids up to go somewhere..or clean the house to have others over, or pay a babysitter. Although I love being social in real life it's hard when your a mom and you have a million other things going on!

Yeah i have more virtual friends then online friends. I have many penpals too.. My friends here all work full time and they are not really my true friends. I have so many friends through facebook , some are my old school friends too.. Yeah i feel i am better socially online then in real life too..
