Any job-specific or travel-spcific perks you guys get? Sort of... the diamons in the rough of this hard kind of life?

We've never had to pay for a hotel room, as we've got a ton of points.

We get to help relatives and friends out with hotel rooms too.

Frequent flyer miles - they help us pay for our trips back to the UK, where my husband is from.

I enjoy time by myself. And though it gets excessive of course, I enjoy having some ME time.

Like being able to watch a movie my husband would hate...

Or making myself and the kids meatloaf since he won't eat it. :)

I've become very independent, very strong, and it has MADE me be more organized.

Those are all good things! How about you??

I love the points for the hotel rooms and car rentals. DH isn't flying much these days so we don't have a lot of airline points.

I love that we don't fall into a boring routine.  I enjoy the time that my hubby is home. We fight a lot less than we used to because we have to make our time count. Some things that used to bug both of us just don't seem to be as big of issues anymore.

Becoming independent was a big deal for me.  He would take care of a lot things before he started traveling.  But now I have to make a lot of decisions.  I feel more like I have the ability to handle things that come at me.  Things breaking aren't as big of a deal as they used to be.

I love that I can do pretty much whatever I want in the evenings.  I can hire a sitter and go out if I want to.  (I rarely do except for an occasional hair appointment or shopping trip.)

I like getting things done in my own time. I have to be carefull with this one though because I tend to put it off and then I have to work on it when he is home. :(
