im new to the trucking world...my fiance is a 3rd generation truck driver..he just left on his first trip since we've been together 1100 miles away from home...does anyone have any advice they can give me that will help me deal with him being gone??? i recently lost my mother and this weekend is Mothers Day...i dont have a support system around me and with him being away from home i dont know how to deal with it....if anyone has suggestions or advice that can help...please tell me...i already miss him and i dont know what i can do to make this week not seem like forever...please help

Email me any time. poolvr98@msn.com. I lost my mom in January of last year. My husband was dissolving his own trucking business and getting hired with another trucking company when she passed away. He was gone during the week. Although I had a support system it was still hard because it was him I wanted with me.

i know it is way passed mothers day, but if you like to wright you can wright stuff down...my hubby has been driving for 5 years and it gets really hard at times but it will all work out i promise...if you super miss which i don't daught that you do, my hubby and i got skype you know what that is right my daughter absolutely loves it and it helps with the being gone thing it just takes the sting off ya know...another thing is just remember why he is driving and just always keep positive thoughts OK...i wish you the best of luck and if you ever want to talk you can just get a hold of me on her...
