Fun things to do with little money??

So every weekend, my husband and I try to think of something fun to do, but rarely do we really think of anything good. We have VERY little money and therefore feel guilty spending money on going out. I am getting tired of mostly watching movies when our daughter goes over to her grandparents' houses. We enjoy hanging out with our friends, but I usually end up discouraged because the few friends that I have either moved far away or don't have the money for a babysitter. We used to go on walks and go camping, but now, it's getting really cold out, which limits us even more on things to do. Any ideas for fun things to do with little money (that husbands would enjoy, too)??

Another thought is maybe try getting a Scholorship to YMCA and they have lots of stuff to do usually and it is a great place to meet new families and friends.

Since you and your husband are home alone, have a romantic night one night. Plan a special meal for him with dessert and light a candle at the dining room table. My husband and I have the same money problem so I try to use it to throw a little romance back in our marriage every now and then.
Then another night you can play cards. Whoever wins has to do something for the other person. It's a great way to get massages and out of doing chores!!

It can be fun to go to "open houses" which are normally on the weekend. It is fun to plan for the future and get ideas of what you both like in a home. Sledding is a fun winter activity that we enjoy that doesn't cost any money. Learn how to play pinochle and find a couple that likes to play -- we play with my husband's parents and we always have a great time. Another game --my husband always wins, but it is fun for me anyways -- is cribbage. You will find something!!!!

hi elizabeth wat me and my hubby do is we host a game nite one sunday a month and our friends host it one sunday a month (its a fortnightly swap) i understand ur friends have moved far away but the friends that are close dnt have enuff money this seems to b a great way for the kids to socialise and u and hubby get adult company please reply and tell me if this works for u good luck! all the best, Loren
