A friend of mine kept telling me how sweet her boyfriend's roommate was and that I really needed to meet him. She described him as someone who either worked or played video games all the time. Not really someone that I was interested in dating. But once she did finally get us together, we were inseparable from that moment on. I met my husband on January 19th 2008 and we'll be celebrating our first wedding anniversary in less than a month. I can't imagine life without him.

I was a loan officer. This stranger calls me for a loan, and as I'm taking his application over the phone I discover he works with my Mom. Turns out he and my mom are good friends. We're both divorced and have kids, we both sing and play the guitar and drums, and yada yada. A five minute loan application took about fourty-five minutes, shamelessly flirting.:)

When he asked me out, I hesitantly said I'd go, then as the day of the date came I chickened out. I called to cancel. His boss (also my Mom's boss) gets on the phone to say he's already gone, saying "Boy, I haven't seen Mark this excited for a long time. He said he had a blind date and was leaving early to go to the club." :) So, I decided I couldn't stand him up.

Went to the club, almost fell over the first time I saw him, GORGEOUS!

Pushed him away for about a month, just cautious about him getting too close with my kids before I knew if it would work or not, and then finally just stopped fighting it and let myself fall in love.

We're happily married, four kids later. They all live with us, and they are all ages; 2,8,10,& 19- from diapers to college. Our youngest is our biological son and looks just like his handsome Daddy.

I met Mike 8 years ago, he was the guitarist in a band at my pool hall. His friend and I dated for 2 1/2 years, and Mike had a girlfriend at the time as well. Mike and I stayed friends even after our relationships with others fizzled. Then about 3 years ago our friendship turned into a partnership, both in bed and in business! And here we are with a beautiful boy and a wonderful relationship, built on friendship and communication.

I am a lucky gal, and I know it!

Hi, im Steph im 27 and thought id add my own story as its slghtly unusual, i first met my hubby 8 years ago working at tesco, we were both very young and silly and only 12 weeks into a relationship i found out i was pregnant, we would fight constantly about stupid little things and decided to split up and just be parents, however when i had my daughter he did a runner and wanted nothing to do with us, so for 6 years i bought her up as a single mum, when my daughter reached 6 she wanted to know her daddy and it forced me to at least try to contact him for her sake, he was older and disgusted in the way he treated us both years ago but just found it too hard to contact us, he started having regular contact with her, and after a bit he couldnt stand to be away from us, we fell in love like we should have done years ago, i fell pregnant and we married in june when i was 36 weeks pregnant, we now have a 7 week old baby boy and our daughter got her daddy back! everyday he makes up for leaving us even thoughi tell him he dosent have to, coming back was so brave of him already!

The 1st time I seen my hubby he was in the back of a car and he looked out the window and waved at me and I was smitten, I says to my friend that he's be mine. I was only 15. About 3 years later, I was heading out one night with a friend and she couldnt get into the nightclub cos she had no I.D. so we went somewhere else and I walked in and he was there talking to someone I knew and I made a beeline for him. I stood talking to the other person for a while and then they went off I stood on talking to him and I fell for him right then. The 2 of us were actually very shocked at the strength of our feelings and we fought it for a while as we felt we were too young but in the end we just went with it and in 13 days we will be married 8 yrs and in 19 days we will be together 13 yrs and have 3 wonderful children and sometimes I'm still amazed at how much I love him and our love keeps growing.

I lived next door to my husband, though I will say that I thought 3 girls lived there at first. His mail was in our mail box so I took it to them and found out that 3 girls didn't live there, he just had a lot of girlfriends. I was 14 at the time, but lied and told him I was 16. He was 19! Any way about 1 year later we got married, he knew how old I was at that time. BTW my step dad was a cop and when he found out I was 14 he did freak out. We're now going on 20 years this October.

Hmmm well we were invited by a mutual friend of ours to listen to his band at a county fair..it was the last time the band was going to be playing. I was there with my girl friend, he wasn't going to go but at the last minute decided he would. Before the band started out mutual friend introduced us...we never left each others side, talked and he ended up following me home to make sure I made it safely, then left..no he didn't come into my house. He left the next morning for a business trip that lasted a week, we talked every day. I invited him over Friday night for Seafood Alfredo...we have been together 7 years, married for 3...we joke that he just wouldn't leave after I made dinner for him. I love him with my whole heart and know God brought us together.

My husband and I actually went to high school together, and he would always come overto me everyday and speak to me and I was nice to him cuz he was cool. I knew he liked me but; he was so little and I'm tall and thick so i'm like no way. He even gave me the nickname Chocolate cuz he could never pronounce my name. I left school my junior year and had a child and but I would always see thru other people and we seen each other everywhere; as the years went by he got bigger and taller but; when we try to hook up but either he or I was in a relationship and the timinig was neva good. Then in 2007 we seen each other at a club and changed numbers I didin't expect nothing; I was just happy to see him cuz I haven't in five years. He called one nite to ask me to pick him up cuz his car got towed while at work and we been together every since and married in 2008. So it took us 17 years to hook up but I'm glad it did, he would not have known what to do with me then. LOL!

My hubs and I met on-line just over a year ago. We are both from the same city but he was working on a construction contract over in Zambia. After about three weeks of emails, phone converstations and Skyping til all hours of the morning, we knew we were being guided by someone outside ourselves to be together. The momentum of the relationship was unreal but really comfortable and exciting. I was in school full-time and had a break coming up. He offered to fly me over to Joberg so we could meet and have a bit of a holiday together. I accepted the offer and soon after that we began entertaining the idea of getting married during our time together. As it turns out, he had booked into a resort with private island accomodation in Malawi. What a romantic place! We talked so much about planning a commitment cerimony (time was too short to be legally married there) that he put money in my account for rings and a wedding dress. After knowing this man for about four weeks but still never meeting personally, I headed off for Africa with the rings and the dress. We met in Joberg and it felt like we were being reunitied rather than meeting in person for the first time. The following morning we flew up to Malawi and three days later, atop a cliff over looking the beach at sunset, he asked me to marry him. Two days later, we held our commitment cerimony on the beach at sunset. In the days that followed, we conceived out baby girl who is now 5 months old. After three more days together he flew back to Zambia to continue work and I flew back to Australia to finish school. When he returned in August we moved in together and legally got married in September in our backyard with a few family and friends present. We consider our Malawi wedding to be the real anniversary as that was where our commitment to one another was commemorated. It's been an interesting journey settling into marriage and family life but I would not change a thing about the way we did it.

How I met my husband is a funny little time! I was working at subway on a Military Base trying to make ends meat for myself and my newborn Son. When this good looking man walked in and ordered his sub. He then returned a couple more times and i remembered his sandwich so I made it with out asking him anything! He was impressed and said "That was cool. What can i give you for this great sandwich?" I turned around and said "You can buy me a cookie" and he did. After that we spent lunchtime together everyday! And then he asked me out to a movie and I said yes and we've been together ever since!

My husband and I were casual friends in college. A group of us friends went out to celebrate his birthday and hiked up to the top of the waterfall which was on campus. Our flashlights died on the way back down and so Gary, my now husband, took my hand to help me find my way down in the dark. I had no idea he was interested in me. When we made it back down, we walked past the pond near the falls and I joked "let's throw Gary into the pond for his birthday!!- a famous campus tradition. Being six feet four inches tall, we were not really able to throw him in and he fought us all off. I thought the joke was over. But a moment later I found myself wisked up into his arms and he was running toward the pond with me! Having been thrown in myself many times before, I thought he was really tossing me in (I later found out he was joking.) I kicked and screamed and accidently gave him a knee to the head. He tripped, we both fell, (slaming hard into the ground) and slid five feet toward the pond. My big toe made it in. The slide gave me the biggest, most painful wedgy known to mankind and the gravel surounding the pond scaped my back up the whole way down. I laid there stunned and bleeding. I turned me head to look at Gary and he had the most horrified look on his face! "I am soooo sorry...are you hurt?", he said. "I am fine." I replied, lying through my teeth. I didn't want to make him feel bad on his birthday. My back was burning. Back his dorm room, his friend teased, "You have NO chance with her now!!" Gary wrote me a note the next day with another appology and included his address- in was the last day of school. I wrote saying not to worry about the accident. He wrote back, I wrote back...and a summer letter correspondence began. By the time we got back to school we began going out together. Three years later he proposed at the top of the falls where it all began. I guess if a girl won't fall for you...you have to MAKE her fall for you!!! We still laugh about it now- 17 years later.

I met my husband when I was working in the Emergency Room and he had to come there to train for EMT. I was showing him around before I left and I dropped my sunglasses and the lens popped out, he picked them up and fixed it. We exchanged numbers and called the next night, we had so much in common. We went on our first date Sept. 2, 2006 and got married July 14, 2007.

We're an internet romance story. Northern Canadian girl meets Southern Californian boy! We wrote and spoke on the phone for a couple of months before he flew up to meet me. Within a week we knew we were getting married. 6+ years later and two gorgeous children and I still think he's the greatest thing to come into my life. I adore him. He's by Beloved.

My husband and I met when I was born! Our moms went to hs together, and were best friends for YEARS after. We basically grew up together. He was a few years older than I, so we went our different ways. After he joined the millitary, life got in the way. We saw each other many times through out those years. But one reason or another, it was a friendship way. A couple years ago, we found each other again. We were finally able to admit how we felt about each other to each other, as well as everyone else.... (Imagine our mothers surprise!!)... On July 4th we were finally married!!!

Hi my name is Julia. The story of the hubby and I. Well we were actually neighbors. Both active duty military, both going through divorces. I had never even noticed him and we lived next door to one another for over a year!!! One day he was sitting outside of his house smoking a cigarette and shaking his head. I had just had one of the worst dates of my life. I went over to him sat down next to him and turns out he had just had a bad date too! We sat and talked there for HOURS! We ended up talking more and more often. Until one day our mutual neighbor decided she had had enough and asked me if I wanted to go to the movies with him while he was standing right there! I said yes and he just laughed. We went out that Friday night and were inseparable for the next 3 months. The army then decided that they didn't want us speaking to one another and we stopped talking to each other so we could progress with our careers without getting into trouble. He started dating someone else and so did I. We then deployed to Iraq. His unit was separate from the rest of us and he was stationed so that I thought we would never see each other for the next 15 months. Fate had other plans. The opportunity came up for someone to go to where he was stationed and work. Well I jumped at the opportunity. I had just broken up with the other guy and was eager to see him again. I traded in my nice safe job for a more dangerous one just to see him. Well I am so glad that I did. When we saw each other again after 8 months of being apart it was like nothing had ever happened. 5 months later I left Iraq 5 months early because I was pregnant, he came home on leave 2 months after that and we were married. He was everything I was not looking for in a man. I am Puerto Rican and have never dated a hispanic man, I was also in the Military Intelligence field and never dated Infantry. I had always said I would never. Well ladies never say never!!!! My husband is the greatest man I could have ever met. I love him more and more every second. There couldn't be a more perfect man for me or a more perfect woman for him. We are going to be celebrating our 1 year anniversary together on Nov 17th of this year.

Meeting him was just a "fluke" for both of us. e thought what the heck that night and just went to see what it was al about and started talking, talked the next night and met for dinner on the third night and have been together ever since. 5 years now. Have a 5 yr old son and another baby on the way...

Hi this is my first post on this site. I met my husband on a Christian dating site in October 2007; engaged that Christmas and married 5/24/09. He is the most wonderful husband and great step-dad in the world

I met my wonderful husband online. He was a brave soul who took on a household of four women from three generations and he has been able to endure and love each of us. I am very blessed to have found him, although if you ask him now he will admit he had no idea what he was agreeing to when he took us on. He had not been married or had children prior to this so it was quite a transformation for him, but he has managed very well.

We both worked at the mall. He at Athletes Foot and I at Champs. We met at a Nike shoe clinic the stores were having for employees. That was in 1985!! We went to the same college and married about two years after we graduated. We've been together for 24 years and still totally in love!

I was at Hardees and he came up to me and asked me out. I didn't even know him, had never even seen him before. Our first date was a picnic at Coopers Rock, it was so special! We are now getting ready to celebrate 14 years of marriage and have two amazing children!!!

I slapped the back side of my husbands head for sitting in my seat in class on our freshman year of college. When he turned around I realized it wasn't my friend whom i thought it was...love at first slap i call it. We've been married for 7 yrs and together for almost 12.
