Hi all, I met my husband Mark in October 2006 after being introduced to each other through a friend. We married in June 2008 and had our first baby in December 2008. Yes, do the maths, I was pregnant when we married. We discovered I was pregnant 2 days after celebrating and ordering our engagement ring! What a nice celebration gift! My husband is wonderful because despite being out the house 12 hours a day commuting and working, he still has time for his little girl when he gets home and loves to bathe her and put her to bed. He also treats me like the most precious thing, thoughtful to the max despite his own needs (for sleep etc!). Love him to bits!

My husband and I met 4 years ago with me praying to the porcelain gods at a party at my friends house... he was the only person to ask me if I was okay and needed any help. And I even had a boyfriend at the time. We just clicked. Sad to say it was over a toilet tho. Lol

Hi, my name is Deb and I met my husband on a blind date.  I had actually just dumped a guy on a friday night, had my nails down the next day...I was ranting and raving about this idiot...and literally 2 days later my nail tech called and said she wanted to introduce me to this certain guy.  I had asked her where exactly was she when I was so angry just 2 days ago and she said that this guy was different...I'm like, whatever, ok.  He picked me up that friday, brought me 2 pink roses, we went to dinner and a movie and talked for hours.  Our 1st date lasted 11 1/2 hours!!!  Never knew I could talk that much.  We have been together for 9 years and married 7.  He is my prince charming.

I met my husband at work. First he was working there then i started. We was playing around and he broke my braclet. He had his number in the roledex so i decided to go for it and call him and ask him about my bracelet but i really just wanted to talk to him lol but he said that he was going to get it fixed. So i called and we started talking from there on. He got fired for some STRANGE reason then came back and we kissed then to make a long story short we fell in love shortly after and got married and has been happy for 3 yrs in oct and expecting our first child this summer.

My husband and I worked at the same place. The only separating us was a wall with a glass window, and a door of course. We would look back and forth at each other smiling etc., writing love notes. It was fun. Then I remembered the saying, "Love who loves you", I liked him, but still was not that interested until I really got to know him. We dated for about 6 months and decided to get married. We wed on Nov 17 2006, so we have been married over two years now.

I met my husband at Kmart while we both worked there.  He originally thought I was a witch, well the word that rhymes with it lol,  We eventually became the best of friends.  That was almost 20 years ago.  This Oct will be my 15th wedding anniversary.  And do you know what, on the day we got married we went to Kmart in our full wedding attire to say hi and pay tribute to the place we met.

My hubby and I met when we both worked at the same extended care facility.  He worked afternoons/evenings and I worked days.  It was definitely love at first sight.

I remember seeing him sitting at the nurses station giving report to the next nurse coming on the floor.  I was just getting ready to start my shift.  He looked up for some reason and when I saw his gorgeous green/hazel eyes, that's all she wrote!  I asked around about him and one of my co-workers thought I was interested in a different male nurse that worked there.  When she showed me this other nurse, I said, "No, that's not the one I'm talking about.  The one I'm talking about has shorter hair and I think he works nights."

So then she thought I meant this older guy that worked nights and I knew who he was, so I told her that in no way was that the guy.  She then simply stated, "Oh, then it must be Jimmie...he's not here today."  I was estatic that I finally knew his name.

So one day, he came in to pick up his paycheck and I happened to be on the floor.  He came back to the nurse's station in the section where I worked and was chatting with another nurse while waiting for his check.  We made some idle chit-chat, then he left and I continued working.  Later that day, I ended up sitting next to him at a staff meeting.  Boy, I felt like a high school girl with her first crush....I was all blushy and nervous!  You'd think I'd never dated before!  We didn't get a chance to talk that day, but when I came into work one day, there was a note on my timecard.

The note said to call him and that he would like to take me to dinner.  I was so excited!  I was so excited that I called my Mom at work and told her that the guy that I liked at work had asked me out on a date!  I had so many butterflies in my stomach!

So we went out to dinner at On The Border.  I had never been there.  The food was excellent.  After that, we continued to date.  We dated for approximately two months before he asked me to marry him and I of course said yes!  We were married on November 1, 2004.  On The Border became our anniversary dinner place until it closed down.  Now, we have to find a new place.  Also, another weird occurrence...the chapel where we were married was torn down and no longer exists.  Thank goodness I took a picture of it!  We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon in July 2005.  I was seven months pregnant with our son, but we had a blast anyway!

We will be married for 5 years this coming November!  And we are still happy!  Couldn't ask for more!

I used to go out with the owner & he knew that but he did not care so when me & the owner split up he was there. He also did not care that I had a child already by someone else (my son at the time was only one) Anyway he has raised my oldest son as if he were his own. We have been together for 13 years now but only married for 5 years. Altogether we have 3 kids.

So is that what you thank when you dont believe in God?

I don't intend to be rude in any way, but I don't think that when she posted this that she intended for someone to laugh at her and accuse her of not believing in a God...

I would rather see support than judgement. I sure hope that's not what you intended.

My husband and I were secretly set up.  I had friends that were constantly after me to come visit them.  I finally broke down and came to visit bringing along my, at the time, just barely 4 year old daughter.  We went out to eat with a bunch of people and Aaron happened to be in the group.  I was previously married and my husband passed away after we were married 2 1/2 years.  He was also previously married and his wife passed away after being married the same amount of time.  We had so much in common our friends knew we would hit it off instantly.  And we did.  Later we found out that they had tried for over a year to get us to meet each other but it never happened until that day.  Four months later we were engaged and two months after that we were married.  We were concerned people would think we were crazy... However all of our friends and family all said, "it's about time!!!".  It's great to have a joint support and love for one another who understands all emotions that go along with losing a spouse.  It's a bond that few actually have with their mates.

I met my husband through a friend. Sort of. I had met a girl at work, and we started hanging out and taking our daughters places together. I was single and she was trying to hook me up with her brother, cousins, etc. I always heard her husband talking to his friend (who was going through a divorce at the time.) I had even went to church with her and me the friends ex wife and kids already. Eventually me and the friend ended up at their house at the same time. What is funny is our 1st conversation was about how we loved our single life and the freedom! But eventually we kept seeing each other and sparks flew and we began dating. He says he fell in love with me the first time we met but wanted to play "hard to get" talking about his new single life. My friend had tried to set me up with every guy she knew but him and he was the one I fell in love with. He is a wonderful person and husband and I am so glad we found each other!

I met my husband in all honesty, in the baking aisle of the local No Frills grocery store. We chatted and flirted (I was 17 at the time!) and I was suppose to see him back their a few days later but had to rush out of town for a family emergency. I continued to shop their and for 7 whole months we missed each other every week...finally we remet in August that same year (I was then 18) and I gave him my phone number. (We both stayed single that entire long 7 month stretch, I actually broke up with my boyfriend the first day I met my now hubby, because I knew he was the one...even at that young of an age!) He called me the next morning to ask me on a date, then the day after that came over. We have been together ever since (It will be 5 years 7 months on March 15th). We have been married 2 years 2 months (on March 11th) and we have a gorgeous 21 month old precious little girl, who was due on the same day as our original wedding date...so we moved up the wedding date from May 11th 2007, to January 11th 2007, only for her to be nearly a month late and born June 6th, 2007!

Hi all - I am still a newlywed, we got married on 8/8/08. We met back in January 2006 at work. We both worked for Nordstrom & were in the same hiring orientation back when the store first opened here in San Antonio. I didn't remember him but he says he remembers me from those new hire classes. I do remember a group of guys who were very obnoxious & he was in that group. I worked in a department where he had be friended a coworker of mine. He worked in Shoe Shine & loved to walked the store to drum up business. He would stop by to talk to me. At the time I was still seeing a guy whom I was with before I moved to San Antonio. I told this to him caz he kept asking if I had a boyfriend. He told me later that he was goning to change that. Yes, he can be full of himself. We became friends & talked alot. It was hard for me to really accept my feelings about him caz I am hispanic & he is black. I kept hearing my father's voice, I will disown you if you bring a black man home. But I began to see him in a more than a friend kinda way. I knew I had to break it off with that guy & he made it easy since he said he would never move here to San Antonio. That ended & I began to spend more time with him. We kept our relationship quiet at work caz the gossip mill is always talking in a retail setting. Well after about a year and a half my store manager finally found out about us & was thrilled. We became the "Love Story" of the store. We moved in together. After 2 years of being together I finally told my dad & he met him. My dad saw how he treats me & was happy to welcome into the family. Three years together now & we have a 10 month old son, his 9 year old son lives with us & we hope to soon have his 5 year old son with us. We hope to have another in about another year or so....I hope it's a girl. I tease him that we will keep tring until we have our girl. He is a great husband AND I couldn't ask for anyone better!
