I wish I could get away with telling my hubby to spend money on stuff just for him. The only time he does is if he has holes in his shoes and he desperately needs new shirts or pants because they got beat up in the shop. And Megan's right if you did everything you wanted to do in your panties it does get you bonus points. LOL

k... i am a stay at home mom... so i kind of have to get cash from my husband too so he usually knows when im gonna get him something. So I know what you mean! For my hubby's Bday I gave him a "spa retreat" - It was a lil girly but it was so relaxing and nice for him... he really appreciated it. What i did was i gave him a massage with baby oil and a pedicure and foot scrub (use sugar) and I gave him a manly facial with an oatmeal mask and some scrubbers. He admitted afterwards that it felt great to be "pampered" that way. Last we had a great dinner. Plus i told him he could have $50 of his money just for him to spend on anything he wanted without hearing my opinion! Oh, and in the morning i made him breakfast in bed!

Just some ideas! Remember it is the thought that counts. -Oh and if you did all of it in your panties you could get bonus points! LOL

These are all great suggestions! My husband is a sucker for massages, so a special treat for him is a really good massage after the little one is in bed. Or finding a babysitter & spending the evening together. :) Most really important things don't need a whole lot of money.

I love my husband he's been there for me through 2 hard pregnancies, and when i really want to show him how much he means to me, i get a babysitter (usually grandma) for the night and we walk and talk and have a big fancy supper and just spend alone time together

Well her husband sounds a lot like mine. And when it comes to telling them. We want to do more than that. We may want to go get some sexy little outfit and surprise him by serving him dinner in it. I've done that. No matter what you always show your husband how much you love even with talking to him. I leave my hubby little poems every now and then and there are times when I want to add a little bit of something to it. Guys aren't really into showing emotion.

I know exactly how you feel. My husband is supportive in every way. We have a 5 year old son and 17 month old daughter. Spending the money is always the hard part because you don't want them to know how much it was. But we always want to do something special for them, and when it comes to that especially my husband says he never wants anything. It makes me so mad. LOL But I've discovered that making a nice dinner just for two of you after baby is sleeping and giving him a backrub and renting a movie usually does the trick. At least renting a movie we can get away with. LOL Hope this helps.
