When we first got married I was more than happy to turn our finances over to my husband. After all he had more experience with it than I did and he came from a higher social class than me. Well come to find out neither of us really knew what we where doing. We did take crown financial before we got married but it seemed like a series more for my parents age. We finally decided to do the Dave Ramsey course that was offered at our church a few years later and that seemed to be what we needed. Now I have control over all income and have some what of a budget set up. He was supper relieved when I took over. Due to his job he is gone a lot so he does get a weekly allowance. If there is a want that he has instead of a need then he saves from his weekly allowance to get it. We have no new debt and no credit cards and all of our basic bills are now being paid on a monthly basis. We do still have around $3,000 of various things we still owe like medical bills and a small bill from collage. Once we get some extra income then we will be able to make payments on that stuff again.
