Hello, today (saturday) my husband had to go into work. when he got home he told me to take a nap and when I woke he had made dinner! and it was yuuummmmyyyy!!!

he doesnt know how to cook much, but today he cooked meatloaf :) and sometimes he cooks pasta such as linguine with garlic sauce, or fetachini with shrimp. :) but he usualy only cooks for our anniversary or my birthday, today i guess he was just in a good mood.

what do your husband cook for you? and how often would you say?

My hubby cooks every night the only time he doesn't is when he's at sea or on duty (australian navy) but even then he would make his lamb shank soup & freeze it for me -im so blessed i dislike cooking with a passion

My hubby is rather creative in the kitchen - actually taught me to cook! Kitchen in a bit of a mess when he's done - but that's ok! :-) Sometimes a couple of times a week - and of course helps with homework and bathtime and everything else too - could not have asked for anything better! He is the love of my life - and always will be!

I'm pretty spoiled. My husband loves to cook and he is great at it..He cooks most of the time and he works nights so on his days off he does a ton of cooking and then freezes it so I have some dinners through the week. I can cook but don't enjoy it as much as him so he spoils me with great food all the time. He also makes our 7 month old daughter all her babyfood too...

Glad to hear you all have fab men in your lives. My hubby often cooks for the children but I tend to do our family meals as he gets flustered in the kitchen. Why should'nt men cook eh, families are teamwork after all, and it sounds like you all have it all. Great. xx

My DH cooks whenever I am too worn out with baby or if he feels like it. I do it most of the time, but if I need him to, he does it when I ask. SOMETIMES he will offer - but usually it's me asking...haha. He makes pasta most of the time...maybe once every other week or so. He likes to experiment with different spices and stuff. Also - since my daughter was born, he has been taking over dinner more frequently. I will start and then get called away by baby and he will take over the rest - like make some rice or veggies, etc....then he will do dishes maybe once a week. I usually do them in the morning if I am too tired at night. Baby boo is good about waiting for me. :)

My husband was a cook in the Army for 5 of the 8 years he was in. So cooking for him was not big deal. However now that he is out he doesnt cook as mch as he use to. However he knows that I have hectic days. We have four girls, 2 of them are cheerleaders who demand a lot of my time for fundraisers, football games, parent meetings and blah blah blah. My two younger ones demand a lot of my attention as well. I have to clean, cook, laundry, and all that WONDERFUL mommy stuff. So on weekends usually, he will let me sleep in. By the time I get up there is a load of laundry already drying a load washing, breakfast has been cooked and dishes are washing as well. Then he goes out to either mow the lawn or spend time with the girls. I like it. Its rare to have husbands like ours! lol

If I have a menu on the fridge, and I'm busy with kid activities or just plain tired, he will ask what to make from this week's plan. I LOVE it! He's an awesome Dad and Husband!

My husband loves to cook. Sadly because of his work schedule he can't cook for us often. I've even had him get upset because I make most of the meals.

He makes anything and everything... his cheesecakes made me actually like cheesecake.

My husband can't cook very well, but he is great at grilling! He normally grills once a week on Friday or Saturday night. The only meal that he can cook well is vegetable risoto (my favorite), but that takes about 2 hours to make. So he normally does that for me on special occasions like my birthday, valentines, anniversary, a few times while I am pregnant etc.

My husband rarely used to cook before our son was born, but he really stepped up after our baby came home. He knew how exhausted I was with the every 2 hour feedings and started to cook a couple times a week. The other days, my mom and grandparents would fill in or we'd eat leftovers. He cooks a little less now that our son is older (1 year) but helps out with our son by giving him a bath each night and makes our salads with dinner.

My husband like to help with dinner or even breakfast, He just love helping me and our 3 kids(11,13and 15). But my 13yo goes in the kitchen can fix just about anything and my 15yo is slowly learning, he's still in the process of burning my pans. I guess that happens. I', glad that like cooking.

my husband makes his award winning chili upon request..but he will cook maybe 2 times a week..usually weekends breakfast etc...he is navy and his days are long so if i waited for him to cook we wouldn't eat until late every night...but when he gets off early or is off he will cook and on weekends..esp when i work..he's a great guy..he made a turkey sausage and shrimp gumbo last night that was yummy, esp for his first time...jumbalaya with turkey sausage(we dont eat pork)...he will bread chicken tenderloins and fry them and he will make fish...he will also grill chicken, and burgers that he buys the ground turkey for and makes up himself...and it's all great...

Before we had our son my hubby cooked most of the time (he quite enjoys cooking generally I don't). He cooks the most amazing roast dinners amongst other stuff. Now I cook most of the time because I am a SAHM and he works but if I am ill or have had a really hard day he will cook dinner for me, and on a weekend he cooks breakfast.
