So both Mother's and Father's days are coming up. What would you ladies like to see happen for Mother's day? What do you have up your sleeve for Father's day?

For Mother's day. My husband didn't know what day it was and scheduled a CPR class that day. In his defense I didn't know what day it was until a week prior. So we just did something the next day. I really wanted to go to the zoo.

My husband doesn't care much for Father's day. He's only ever received cards from my dad. His dad's birthday is always within a few days, so growing up they just celebrated his dad's birthday. We'll most likely do like what we did for Mother's day. He can choose to do something fun and special.

In the UK, we have Mothering Sunday as Mothers Day - this is the 4th Sunday in Lent, so this year Mothers Day was on 18th March. We celebrate the same Fathers Day as you do, in June.

There are several different Mothers Days throughout the full year's calendar, depending on where in the world you live.

My husband forgot to mail a Mothers Day card to his mother - he thought I'd done it! So we found the card 2 or 3 days after Mothering Sunday and I sent it to her in time for International Mothers Day (13th May this year) so she still got a Mothers Day card on an appropriate day this year.

Fathers Day occurs several times throughout the year as well but each country will choose their own.

for mothers day..... my husband has been in bed all day. Happy mothers day to me, eh?

hehe nah, the poor kiddo (yes i called my husband a kid) is sick. I caught something about 4 weeks ago, and gave it to him about two weeks ago.

But my son did bring home a cute handprint and poem from school for me.

What I love seeing and knowing, is every kind act my son does, he gets it from watching his father. His father opens my door, takes care of me when i am sick, always give compliments, always acts funny to make me smile, and is always polite.

People see my 5 year old opening the door for people, people see my son go out of his way to help people, people love it when my son says yes sir and yes ma'am.... and they ask me how i 'train' my son to be like this. It has nothing to do with 'training; it has to do with him looking upto his father.
