My home health nurse

My husband has been my rock the last month through two breast surgies and a cancer scare. This may sound crazy, but I believe God had him become unemployed two months ago so I would have him to help me! I would have had no other help on this planet with our 4 kids. He has been my nurse, my chauffer, chef, school shuttler, lawn maintainer, nanny, and the list could just keep going. He has not complained one single time! Doing all this, while looking for a job too! I am truly blessed and am looking forward to the next 20+ years with this wonderful man!

Good for you guys, no doubt if the shoe was on the other foot, you would do exactly the same.

You are so blessed! How are both holding up? I feel for you the same way I felt for my dad, when he took care of my mom after two cancer surgeries after 50 years of marriage. They're in their 70s. I hope my husband and I have the resilience of their marriage, and the strength of of their love. Say, another 25, 30+ years?? :)

my gosh with 4 kids and what you have gone through, you surely deserve an at home nurse. Thats great he was so wonderful. How are you and your family doing now Robbie?

Glad to hear that your husband is your best friend, and stuck by your side during your scare. I had breast cancer 5 years ago and had to endure chemo, radiation, hysterectomy, bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction and just finished in 2007, he also was my rock, and everthing else you can ask for in a husband. He also in some ways became a single parent when my son was 2 years old, i could not even get out of bed. I did write a book called reflection of a survivor, my personal journey through breast cancer, by karen maneri. We just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary!!!!!
