Title catch your attention?? hehe Anyways, so not to sound creepy but have you ever been laying in bed at night and your husband is fast asleep and just watched him sleep? Again, not in the creepy way but just laid there and thought about how truely lucky you are to have this man who would do anything for his family all to yourself?
I had that moment last night, kinda of like a movie moment scene where I just smiled to myself as I saw him looking so peaceful and knew that as long as this wonderful man was in my life, things will be ok. I know, sappy post, but thats what this group is for! lol, maybe it's the pregnancy hormones! :)

Who cares if it's sappy as long as it's true!!! Your moment is so sweet, I'm happy that you shared that with us. If more people took a few minutes now and then to look at what they have and appreciate it like you have, the world would be a better place. Thanks for the post!

I do that all the time. We fight because he works and I get stressed about the baby so I feel bad. I will lay there in bed or just stare at him and smile because I know that no matter how mad I get, he will always love me and our baby so very much.

Funny story - I woke up one night and had that "He's mine" thought, scooted closer to him to lay my head on his shoulder - and he started scratching my nose like he does our cat! I think he thought the cat had come to snuggle! He was sound asleep, I was shaking with laughter. I told him about it in the morning and he didn't remember any of it.

I actually woke up to my husband doing that to me. Apparently he does this often when he can't sleep. I am blessed to be a stay at home mother to our 5mth old son so I am pooped by the day's end. When I asked him what he was doing he said that he was just thinking how lucky he was to have me and our son, and how beautiful I looked when I was sleep and what an amazing women I am. I relized that I am the lucky one for this man and I am the one who is in awe of him everyday, and after 5 years we still get butterflies. I treasure every moment of sleep I get, but if I were awake I would stare at him and think all these things too! Sweet Dreams ladies!

I don't think its creepy at all either. We all do the same thing with our children, why should it be any different with your hubby! Sleepytime is some of the only quiet, reflective time we get, so I think its pretty natural to think that kind of stuff then. My husband and I are only 29, but we have been through so much already. We met when we were 15, and have been together ever since, through high school, his dad dying of cancer at only 47, 4 years of infertility, me getting cancer, our baby being born so early and now me going through treatment. I am a SAHM, and while we don't have much money, my husband works hard so I can stay home, so I can go through treatment, and so my son doesn't have to go to daycare because he would be sick constantly. I've just looked at him while he sleeps and thought how very lucky I am many times, so no, its not weird!!

I do quite often, and he doesn't even realize it. Its nice just to watch him sleeping so peacefully, and wondering what he dreaming. Its the best feeling being able to watch him sleep and snuggle so close at night. ITs our time together whether we are both sleeping or just one of us. Many nights I will snuggle into him while he is watching TV and he falls asleep that way and I end up turing off the TV because he fast asleep. Come morning time he doesn't even know when the TV went off. What a man, but he is all mine and I love him dearly! ♥

Wow, I thought it was just me that did that lol. Glad I'm not alone at feeling creepy. I'm 33wk on wednesday and last night I was just watching him and I realised how truly happy and beautiful he makes me feel even though I do look like a beach whale hehe :) I woke him up and I just told him that I loved him, all he said was not as much as I love you. I know we are all lucky to have our own wonderful husbands and fathers of our children, I know I wouldn't change mine for the world even in the bad moments

Not only do I frequently do that, but (I am now an empty nester), when the kids are home to visit, I love to sit back and watch them all interact with each other and the wonderful man I married who they all consider their father. (Their own father passed away when my daughters were very young). My heart swells and my eyes often tear up just counting my blessings, even though I still think of, love and miss the man I created this amazing family with, I am very happy with the man who made us a family again. It's called counting your blessings. It's a great pastime I never grown tired of, and I am happy to say that after my first husband passed away suddenly and unexpectedly (car accident), I had no regrets and knew that we each had known exactly how lucky we were while we had it. One of my favorite songs is one called Never Been To Me and I listened to it often during the early years of my first marriage. Every young wife and mother should. It is by Charlene Duncan

I've definatly had that moment. Specially since I usually get back up after he goes to sleep. I have plenty of time to watch him sleep. Mostly just reflect on the last 6 years. How crazy and immature we were when we first married...and how settled and happy we are now. I am glad we went through our rough patches and turbulent times in the beginning of our marriage, cause now we are so happy and we appreciate what we have so much. I would be lost without my husband. He takes care of me and our girls and makes me feel safe. I know nothing will happen with him around...and if it does he will fix it. He works SO hard every day to give us a good life...and I am SO lucky.
