Picnic Lunch

Am I straight out of the 1950's? I love picnics. Is it just me? My friends never seem to do it, and they seem surprised when I suggest during playdates.

Tomorrow, 3 moms and 5 children will go to Children's Museum and then a picnic. Suggestions for great things to take with us?

My tried-and-true:
PB&J / popcorn / apples or bananas / juice boxes / non-melty candy or cookies
And red wine

Any other no-cook ideas you guys have?

We almost always do PB&J sandwiches and grapes with water bottles... That's about it. I keep it as simple as possible unless we are doing a cook-out at the park or lake...
