I thought this would be fun to see where everyone met their hubbys. How long you have been together and how long you have been married.....

My husband and I met on a sprint phone chat room. We knew each other for a year before I moved across the country to be with him. (i lived in az and he lived in il) We lived together for a year then before we go married. I was 20 then. We have been married now for 6 years and have 3 beautiful chidren together, ages 5, 4, and 2.

I met my husband about 9 years ago. We worked together on Table Mountain, Cape town in the curio shop. We became friends and we both were in relationships, but things turned sour on both our sides and we reached for each other. It was a total whirlwind romance as his current girlfriend worked with us! We eventually got through it after some tough times from colleagues. But we had so much love for each other and got married a year later! Six years later and we have a 3 year old princess and our prince is on his way in 10 weeks! My husband is my best friend and life partner! I cannot ask for a better husband :)

When I was a junior in hs I saw this cute senior guy walking down the hall who I had noticed talking to my friend who's locker was next to mine before. I leaned over and asked my friend his name and promptly shouted across a very crowed hallway "will you go to prom with me?" at him. To which he replied "No!" Strange how he suddenly started hanging out by my friend's locker more and more. Our first date was 10.5 years ago, we went to two proms together, dated long distance when he went to college for two years until I moved to be closer to him, we had a baby girl a few years after that, got married four years ago, had a baby boy and the rest is just being happy with my best friend and loves of my life.

We met thru a friend of mine from a computer class that I was taking at local jr college. From the first date, I knew that I could marry him although there was a faith difference and I am the older of the two of us. We dated 4 years before marrying. We have a 14 yo son, He was born when I was 46 yo. Do the math, I am 60-plus. He keeps us young but sometimes too much on the go. Would have loved to had at least one more child but we are fortunate that he is normal and a tad bit above normal having tested into our gifted program and at the top of most of his classes.

I met my husband in College. He was the Teacher, I was his Student.
He made his first move on me the NIGHT OF FINALS.
We ran into each other at a mutual friends party over break.
He invited me over after, "just to hang out"
Three days later I left. And the rest is history!
I was 3 points away from an A, he was tempted to give it to me, but gave me the B+ I deserved.

I met my husband on nexopia, i was having a rough year with my sons father, and had decided it was time to move on ( thats a long story) I messaged him, so he read my profile and decided NOT to talk to me, because of my son, he didnt want to get invovled and something happen and my son be hurt. well a couple days later he wrote me back, we chated for about a month online, when i decided to meet him, he picked me up at 11 at night ( my cousin was watching my son) we grabbed some mcdonalds and went for a drive, we spent 6 hours in is truck talking about everything, i think we both fell in love that night. we started talking more on the phone and he would come over to help me clean, and watch my son, the became best friends, he told me he loved me 3 months after we meet ( we wernt dating yet) but he told me one day i would realize i love him too, and i would be with him, he wasnt lying, we went on a couple road trips, and i realized he was right i wanted to spend my life with him, he asked me to marry him after 5 months of us being together, and we found out we were expecting not even a week after we got engaged, i was scared and he was happy, we got married last september, so this year will be our first aniversay, we have been together almost 3 years, we have a 1 yr old and a 4 month old, and of course my son who is 4! he is truly an amazing man and father!!!

We met on an online dating site, and decided to go for a date. At the date he gave me his number on a card and I lost it! I spent a week trying to find his information before we re-connected. LOL We tease about how if I weren't so stubborn we'd have never gotten together. Perfect match for one another! He's my one-in-a-million, soul mate! :)

My husband and I met in a bar. A common friend introduced us to each other. I didn't like him at first, and he said to himself that I'm too young for him. But after couple of days, we started texting. We went out, just the two of us, without our bar friends of course. We fell inlove. We lived together after a year. And now, we're turning 4years next month, April 28 2011. And we now have a wonderful 4month old baby boy. =)

I met my husband in Church when I was 13. He used to do a paper run in my street and when he walked past my house I used to call out "hello" and I'd say to Mum I'm going to marry that boy. A little over 2 years later we started going out and I used to wave to him on the bus when his school bus went past my stop (we went to different schools) then after 5 years we got married this coming December 1st we have been married 27 years and I love him more and more each day. He was so shy back in those days but now he is a very confident gorgeous man!!! So in love! We have 3 gorgeous kids all grown up now and 1 who lives in heaven.

I met my husband at a leadership school in the Army (BNCOC) He says he noticed/respected me because I had the NERVE to tell him he was wrong about military discipline & punishment. About 3 months later, we and 10 other people from our unit went to a Civil Affairs Operations course, and the rest is history. We have been married for 18 1/2 years and have successfully combined our families.
Both of our girls are married to amazing, Christian men. Our oldest daughter is expecting her first baby in June. My oldest son is in Afghanistan. Right before he left, he met a lovely young lady (Lenora) from Illinois, who is studying to be a doctor. We can't wait for him to come home, and to meet Lenora. Our youngest son, (ours together) is 14 and is now taller than I am!
I think being friends first is what keeps couples close. Allowing ourselves to really get to know each other well before marrying.

I met my husband at a business convention. I worked for his company's competitor at the time (but not for long!). The first time I saw him he was shaking hands with very prominent, powerful men but was clearly the Alpha in the pack. I was mesmerized by all 6'4" of him. He noticed me noticing him and gradually pursued me. We were married 2 years later and have been happily so ever since.

We went out for a couple months before he left for basic training and we wrote each other everyday for the next 4 months. We got married when he came home in April 2008. We were both so shy when we met that we wouldn't even look at each other, & whe was ready to kick us both. But once we went out we clicked right away & 6 months later we were engaged. By the time we got married 8 months later we thought so much alike that we were finishing each others thoughts. We have been married for 13 1/2 wonderful years. I met my husband John at church. He actually moved to my hometown after his parents got a divorce while he was on his LDS Mission in Argentina. After he got home he learned that his parents were no longer together. He came to live with his dad in Sanger where I was from. I saw him at church (so did all the other girls) and I thought he was attractive.

Two weeks later I went off to Rick's College. I was with someone else at the time who was a Merchant Marine. All my mom could talk about was John this and John that. She thought he was so good looking.

I wasn't able to stay the whole semester at Rick's because I got really sick and the school sent me home. I was home for two weeks when I saw John again. At that time the man I was seeing that was in the Merchant Marine wanted to cool things off because he wouldn't be home for 8 more months.

In the meantime John was called as the new scout leader. So I talked our family friend into having her drop her boys off at my house (a block from the church). lol I took them to church and told John I brought them to scouts. At the time he had no way of knowing that I was only a block away. I did this just so I could talk to him. A week later I invited him over for dinner. We dated and became exclusive after four months. A year later we were married.
We have been together for 27 years. We have three children together. It has been a wonderful 27 years! :)

I am positive God had a hand in bringing us together!! We met at my home town county fair. lol I was running a Physical Therapy booth for the company I worked for at the time...marketing things like giving out balloons, pens, and t-shirts. His aunt had been one of my patients and she passed through my booth that night. She wanted to know if I was single and when I said yes she insisted that I meet her nephew who was singing that night at the fair. I lived in Alabama and he was from Washington State. So since all of my co-workers jumped in to set me up...I went to hear him sing. He was hot and he had an amazing voice! After he finished singing, his aunt introduced us and we spent the night riding all the rides at the fair. He was just as amazing as his voice. We haven't been apart since that night....he didn't fly back home and stayed with his aunt for ten months. At 10 months we were engaged then moved to Washington and Aug 28th marked 6 years that we have been happily married with 2 beautiful little girls. God is amazing!!!!

I met my husband when we were in youth group at our church (7th grade). We were good friends and I had a boyfriend from school. We hung out and we became better friends, but nothing ever happened between us. We graduated from HS and moved on the college and lost touch. I was engaged to another guy and when I realized that that guy was not for me (thankfully before we got married), my first thought went to my great friend, whom I did have feelings for. So I sent him an email to see how he was enjoying college and life, and we emailed back and forth and that summer he drove 8 hrs one way every weekend from college to come and see me in our hometown. He told me how he thought I was the one who had gotten away. He compared every girl to me and had not had any lasting relationships. We got engaged that Thanksgiving and have been happily married for almost 7 years now! We have two beautiful children who have completed our family (4 and 20m).

I met my husband online. I lived in Great Britain and he lived in the U.S.A. That was over 7 years ago and we have been married 4 years. I had just turned 40 and a full time working single mother. My children were growing up and I felt it was time for me to do more with my job and travel the Country. I told my self that it was my time to do all that I wanted and I had no time for love, but suddenly love slapped me upside down one night, when I started talking to this sweet guy. Because of the 4,000 mile difference I did everything in my power to distract him, especially as just before we had started talking, I was getting use to being with a walking stick after a car accident, as well as other health issues, but he wouldn't let anything put him off and eight months later he decided to take a trip to England and the rest as they say is history. We were married in 2006 and I moved to the States after taking retirement due to my health in 2009, despite all the hick ups, if you are meant to be together, then things have a way of working themselves out. Bless you all xx
