hi my name is angie and im just asking well a number of questions that never get answered by my doctor. Ok I have a 2 year old son and I am 16 weeks pregnant with my second and final baby. My son was an emergency c-section because I wasnt dilating plus i had gestational diabettes. I really wanted a natural birth but that didnt happen. I want to have a natural birth with this baby and im wondering if any mums out there have had the same thing happen to them and successfully gave birth naturally after a ceasar..... Also question 2 i still breastfeed my son and i really want him to get of because i want my new baby to have the same benefits as he did and is still getting i know colostrum is the first thing the babies drink once born but I have been told if i am still breastfeeding when my new baby is born there wont be colostrum because my milk is well established. Not only that but my beasts are so senstive and sore and my son just wont take no for an answer and im a big softy i give in all the time. I have tried offering a bottle with cows milk and ive tried giving him snacks and other things but it just doesnt work he always goes back to the breast and i really hate seeing him upset can anyone help as my doctor said to do what i feel comfortable with which is no help really.

I had a VBAC on Dec 8.....the dr monitored everything and vitals were all good and it went smoothly.  I actually enjoyed the VBAC and will do it again if I decide to have a third.  Recovery is sooooo much better!  You will like it....my friend had several VBACS she has five kids...and she loved the VBAC too.

Is does sound to me like a comfort thing. Is there other things that you can offer instead of the breast? It will be difficult being tough but maybe cut it back to only before bed time, then during the day when hes hurt or needs settling try something new for comfort.

Perhaps you can use other drinks he likes like juice instead of milk, personally, i think that hes at an age now where it wont harm him if he has less milk in his diet and a lot more solids. You could try feeding him from bottles that specifically resemble the breast, and feed him laying down with you, i think it is a comfort thing, my mother in law has 10 kids, the youngest being 18 months and she didnt wean well, i think my mother just cut back the feeds, tried putting her to bed with out a feed where possible, gave her solid breakfasts instead of offering the breast, until the toddler got to the point where she didnt ask for the milk.

My little man gets fed plenty of solids he just loves the breast he will be sitting watching tv and i will be sitting next to him and he will just lift my top up and ask for the boob. after breafast he wants boob after a snack he wants boob after lunch he wants it anfter dinner he wants it when hes hurt he wants it when hes sick he doesnt want it. I have bottles that resemble the breast and he doesnt know what to do with bottles as he never really had them when he was younger. he does have cows milk from cups and he drinks lots of water too. I have cut down his breast feedin g to a minimum but he still wants it to go to sleep and when he wakes up he wants it im sure it is a comfort and habbit thing for him because he only sips at it for a few seconds during the day now.

He does get plenty of solid foods too hes always eating because at the moment he is going through a growth spurt so he always has food on hand for him to eat whenever he feels the need he still always goes back to booby though.

I have a 2 year old daughter and am also pregnant. I had an elected c-section with my daughter and am also looking to have a natural birth this time. As far as i have been told by all my doctors, this shouldn't be a problem. The only hiccup i have been told (possibly just a rumour) is that the midwfie cannot induce you.

I didnt breastfeed my daughter too long, i didnt have a very good milk supply, but i am trying to ween her off of bottles. I find that its particularly difficult when she is sick not to give in to her, but the thing i think the most when shes upset is that we've gone a week with out one and she is slowly adjusting, i wouldnt want to make all the tears all for nothing by giving in.

I used special treats with her to get her using a "big girls cup" the whole food thing doesnt work with her, so my husband and i took her to the store and let her pick a special day time cup and a night time one, i heat the milk as normal and give it to her in her special cup, it took 4 or 5 days of her not drinking milk for her to get used to it but now its mch better. Perhaps you can use other drinks he likes like juice instead of milk, personally, i think that hes at an age now where it wont harm him if he has less milk in his diet and a lot more solids. Good luck

My first child was an emergency c-section as well and I'm trying a VBAC with my second ( due in June). My doctor and me have already discussed everything and I can not be more excited about trying it. Hope everything works out for you!
