I'm having a girl and we going with the first name "Amelia". Any help on a middle name would be greatly appreciated. A few names we are considering are: Mae, Ann, and Skye. I really love Skye because it is different but many people tell me it is to out there. My thinking is that if she doesn't like her first name or wants to be unique later in life (high school) she can go by her middle name. Does anyone have any other suggestions to help us out or an opinion on the names in the list above?

There is always the echo test. Find someplace that has a very good echo and yell each name. Listen to the echo and pick which ever one you thinks sounds the best.

i think amelia mae has a nice ring to it. But if you prefer a unique name that she can switch to, i think skye is a beautiful choice

I like the name Amelia, it was one of the choices we had for our baby girl which is due 8th June 2010. I like Amelia Skye its a pretty name, and if she doesn't like Amelia you can always call her Mia for short.

I really like the name Skye for a middle name. If you love it, do it! I have only heard that name once in my life so I dont think its too used. There are a ton of names you could go with. Do you favor any specific letter for the middle name?

I have to say I think it's funny that people would say Skye is way out there. We are planning on using it as a middle name for our future daughter.
