Had some Braxton Hicks the past couple days and I'm due the first week of Aug.. Anyone else? Is it normal? ...I didn't have any contractions with my first until a few weeks before due date.

Braxton Hicks actually happens throughout the entire pregnancy whether or not you feel it. They are just the placenta contracting to bring oxygen to the baby.

went to doc today and she said they are definately braxton hicks, but the only difference between those and the contractions that do the work is if they are constant for a long enough time that they change the condition of the cervix. So we're good for now :)

With my first they started at 18 weeks and with this pregnancy they started at 15. Best to confirm with your doctor that they are in fact braxton hicks, but it sounds like they probably are. Just think of how good you will be at contracting by the time baby decides to come :D

fairly certain.. hardening of the stomach and extreme pressure/discomfort, but no pain really.. I go to doc on Friday and plan on asking. :/

With my second I started having braxton hicks at 11 weeks. My midwife said that it's very common to get them earlier with the second child.

Are you sure they are braxton hicks? I had what I thought were braxton hicks at 24 weeks....turned out I was in labor
