A week ago i thought i was pregnant so i did a test, it said i was but it was a weak second line and it took about 3 min to show up. so i did another 2 they the same. really weak line and took a while to show up. went to the doc today and he looked confused to and doesn't know why because the test that i used were suppose to be the best ones. so have done some blood tests and going for the first scan on Thursday. I am quite worried because of the doc. i am a mum of two and no problems with them and dont know whats wrong??? PLEASE HELP

Don't worry.... When I took my first pregnancy test it did the same thing and I was pregnant. A friend of mine every time she took a pregnancy test it came out negative. I believe one of her pregnancies it took 3 blood tests to confirm she was. The doctor at first keep telling her she had the flu... This is a very stressfull time waiting for the results but don't worry... I know you're thinking easy said then done.. Trust me I've been threw it...

I have heard of lots of tests being faint especially when its very early in the pregnancy. And I know with the tests I've used it says in the instructions that the line may be faint, but it is still a positive.

Yea, it is definitely nothing to worry about hun & Julie is right, if the pregnancy hormone isn't real strong, that could have caused the line to show up lightly & then become more visible :) Everything will be fine hun, Best of Luck to you!

i was told with a home test you cannot have a false positive only a false negative. Also a home test will only be accurate for the first 3 or 4 months of the pregnancy, after that the hormones the home kit reads are replaced by different ones.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Those tests measure the level of HCG (the pregnancy hormone), and if they are faint, it just means there's not much yet. The levels of HCG rise through your pregnancy, and even for the the same women, different pregnancies can vary in the amount of HCG. HCG is only present when you are pregnant, so if there is even a faint line, you are pregnant, and most likely, everything is okay.
