does falling on my belly affect my pregnancy??

i am 22 weeks pregnant and 2 days ago i slipped on the bathroom and hit the side of my stomach with the edge of the tub!!! i didn't feel anything at the time and my baby's movement is still ok.. i am just worried that i did a mistake by not going to the doctor.. should i be worried?

For the most part your baby is cushioned and should be ok, Im one of those better safe then sorry people so I would call the Dr and ask, but I slipped on ice and fell but on my back, and the Dr said unless you start spotting or the baby's movement decreases then baby should be fine but he said if you fall on your stomach you should get checked out just to be safe. Good luck on your pregnancy!!!

I was 38 weeks pregnant and fell straight on my stomach and bounced to my side. I went into the hospital just to be sure everything was ok and it was. They just monitored the baby's heart rate. You should be fine.

You should probably go for an ultrasound to make sure that everything is ok. If they think that there is a problem they may have you do other tests. Since you are still feeling the baby move, there probably is nothing wrong, but it will put your mind at ease.
