I can relate, my first 2 boys were 14 months apart and it was a challenge dealing with 2 little ones. I would hold the baby while snuggling with the older one and reading a book. I would even nurse the baby while giving attention to the older child. I did many of the things that Michele recommends. They are 7 and 6 now and most times the best of friends. I get to try to balance that all over again very soon. My youngest is almost 14 months old and I'm due in June which will put them 16 months apart. Andrew is very clingy to me so when the baby comes, it should be very interesting to see how he copes with being a big brother while still being a baby himself. Good luck to you.

It is definitely going to be a challenge. I have a 5 year old daughter & a 3 year old step-son, with a new born on the way :) One of the biggest things to do, let her help with the new baby, make her feel like she's a part of everything. Let her pick out the baby's clothes & things like that. Let her help hold the baby's bottle. It will go a lot smoother when she is involved, then she won't be acting out because she doesn't think she's getting enough attention. When the baby is taking a nap, sit down & read with her or play games or play with her favorite toys with her, watch her favorite show together. That way both will be getting all the attention they need & you will get quality time with both. I hope that helps you hun! Best of Luck :)
