This will be my 1st time breast feeding and I heard it was better to rent them because the electric ones only last for 300 hours what should I do

I rented from the hospital when my son was born and plan to with the new baby. I think they are stronger and having dual pumps makes the time go faster. Really worked well for me. I did get expensive, but I felt it was worth it to have the best (strongest) to ensure my milk supply lasted.

If you're looking to pump long term, for instance if you're going back to work, you'll want to purchase one that plugs in too. If you only need it the first couple of weeks as your body is adjusting to BFing, then I would rent one (which is what I did). That can get expensive quick though, but it was nice having a good hospital grade one when my body was over producing milk at first.

Good luck! (If you have other questions, feel free to PM me. :))
