I had sporadic spotting-light bleeding with my first pregnancy and it was normal, my stress level was aggravating it and I was told sex can make it worse too. It was off and on throughout my whole pregnancy even though I tried my best to stay zen and I didn't have any sex that whole time. My friend had her period start and continue for almost 2 months and when she went to the doctor she found out she was pregnant. Her 'period' continued all the way through her pregnancy and then for two months afterwards. Usually not that common but it happens nothing was wrong with her or the pregnancy she just became aneamic after a point because she was bleeding so heavily for so long but sometimes there are just 'bleeders'. I'm happy I haven't had any bleeding thusfar its more of a random thing I guess so just because I bled with my first one didn't mean I was going to with my second. If they say not to worry and they have checked everything then I would relax...it happens.

It happens more than you think. I had bleeding at 14 weeks with my 2nd child and with my 3rd at week 6 through 12. due to a blood clot disolving. a placental bleed at 18weeks and at 25 weeks another placental bleed. finally stoped bleeding at 32 weeks and had my son at 38 weeks. Im now 19 wks and no episodes this time. as long as the dr say everything is ok there is not much you can do. If it gets worse go back but otherwise don't worry too much. stress isnt good for either of you and good luck.

When I was 5 weeks pregnant with my first child (my daughter) I had some bleeding (two separate occasions)they told me i was probably having a miscarrage ..but i didn't and now my daughter is14 months old. and obviously I wasn't having a miscarrage so I have no idea what it was...but i have heard that some women who take the pill can bleed when pregnant.
