ok so i am 37 weeks pregnant and know that i am leaking fluid. but the docs wont do anything for me. is it possiable to make my doc induce me now cause i dont want to go through a birth with no fluid like i did with my son. is there anything i can do to help things along. i walk a lot, with winter here i dont walk outside i make my husband and son go to the store with me like every day and we walk around the grocery store for like 2 hours lol. then i can push a cart. i want to be induced after my apt on tue not only cause i know that i am leaking but because my family is going to be in town to help with the new baby and the toddler. i also have noticed that i have been having nose bleeds and my hands and ankels are a little swollen by the end of the day. not too bad but enough that i notice them. i can tell with my hands cause when it is cold out like it has been my rings seem to be a little bit loose but the last few days they have been really tight and i cant get them off with out lotion or soap or something like that. i have also noticed that i have a rash like thing on my arms that i have never had before. i get to iching and then the next day i have little bumps and my forearms that look like little zits and they are full of puss like stuff. they dont hurt but every place that i have had one leaves a little tiny scar. please any help with this would be great.

If you think you are leaking fluid go straight to labor and delivery. They have a test they do to see if you are actually leaking amniotic fluid or if it is just discharge. Before the baby comes your discharge can change to very watery that some women think that it is their water breaking or leaking and its not. If it comes positive for amniotic fluid they have no choice but to admit you. The swelling and rash are normal for the end of pregnancy, its your hormones getting ready for delivery. They will keep checking your urine at your appointments to check for protein in your urine which that with the swelling could be pre-eclampsia. But if they haven't said anything about it now you should be fine. I'm not sure where you live, but here in Colorado my doc cannot induce till 39 weeks unless the mom or the baby is in distress and thats coming from the head haunchos of baby departments :) It may suck for us but its their standards to keep the baby's lungs developing as long as possible. If your appointment shows the baby or you in distress they will induce you earlier but till then you can't make them do it any earlier. I had preterm labor with my daughter at 34 weeks 3 days and they gave me meds to stop it. It stopped me from dilating but didn't stop my contractions, and they came every 5 min apart for 4 and a half weeks, but because nothing was wrong with me, other than being very pregnant in the end of summer miserable, and my daughter looked good my doc couldn't induce till 39 weeks.

Oh, and everything else you mentioned is normal in pregnancy and will go away once the bambino is born or soon after. I tried shoe shopping 3 weeks after giving birth and I couldn't fit into a size 11 shoe when I where a 9.5/10. I bought the sandles anyway cause I know I wasn't getting any taller. A month later, they fit!

It must be a small tear that they think will heal. If you haven't had it checked yet, you should go in to ER and have them check to see if it's urine or fluid. They won't just take your word for it. Going more than 48 hours of leaking fluid increases your chance of infection and they usually will induce labor at that point. My water broke on my due date at 1230am and they had to take him by c-section by 6:30pm that night to avoid infection and because my contractions were not strong enough (I couldn't feel a thing). If you're leaking amniotic fluid or your water has broken, the fluid is likely to saturate your underwear or panty liner over and over again. The fluid may be clear or contain white flecks, perhaps tinged with blood or mucus. It isn't likely to smell, however. if it is green, then go to the ER as it may be meconium. I also found a site that may provide information helpful to you, as well. Good luck and put those protective momma jeans into action. Insist, insist, insist. They will eventually either convince you that they are doing the right thing by giving you enough information to reassure your OR they will induce you so you can meet your little one. Either way, you win! Good luck!

Well the rash sounds like eczema my son and I have it and I had a flare up just before I delivered no biggie but definately show the doctor. As for the fluid I'm amazed they haven't kept you there isn't there a risk of infection? The swelling needs to be checked out its probably nothing but better safe than sorry (my friend had severe swelling and they had to induce her) I'm having nosebleeds but I think thats technically normal for pregnancy I've been having them for months now. If you really want to be induced and they're being stubborn play up the swelling and tell them you're worried about infection because of how long you've been leaking, and mention that you had to go through a dry birth last time and you don't want to do it again. Is the problem that you aren't dilating? walking is the best thing to trigger your labour so keep that up unless the swelling gets really bad because then you need to rest. Best of luck hun and at the very least you know it wont be long now.
