Me and my fiance just cannot agree on names. We won't know what we are having for a while. We don't have any girl names yet but my man wants to name our child Aries! I am sorry, I am not naming my kid after a character on Xena! I like uncommon but not too weird names. He wants a very common name. He doesn't like anything I suggest and I don't like anything he suggests. Our last name is Wyman. Please help!

We were the opposite we had heaps of girls names and no boys names and yet we wanted a boy and found out we were having a boy. We tend to go with family names althou this time it was only the middle names we went with. My husband wanted strange names too and I stupidly said he could name our second child. My problem was that being a teacher I find it hard to find names that I don't associate with students. We looked at just about every baby name website we could find, wrote a list and just put names together. When your child is born you will look at it and just know what names is right I'm sure

Hello, My husband and I couldnt agree on any of our three childrens first names, the middle names were easy and w/out argument because they were in honor of family members. What i did was pick 10 names that i really liked and presented them to my husband, he marked what he didnt like and then i would mark off the ones i least liked and so forth till we came to the last two names...from there we played w/ how to spell them and it was an easy pick seeing it spelled out w/ the middle name and the last name. as for the middle name of my second daughter we couldnt agree on which family member to honor so i combined them, one was Lou the other was Ann, so I did LouAnn....for my son we wanted to honor both grandfathers but also daddy to, so we had Eric, Darrel and Ryan, so I combined Dar, from Darrel and Ic from Eric and got Daric Ryan....be creative and take the time to write them out on paper so you can read them and see them...that will help alot

I would suggest not stressing out about it too much right now, you've got a while it sounds like. When you find out if it's a boy or girl, I would sit down and have a serious conversation about what your hopes are for the baby's name and give several suggestions and hopefully you can agree on something. You never know, ask him for several suggestions as well and he may come up with something you like.

why dont u both pick names and pull it out of a hat for the first name?? (sounds silly i know!) then whoever loses can have free choice of the middle name.... i personally choose the first name then let my partner pick the middle name, after all i am the pregnant one lol but be careful, my sons middle name is Che' !! goodluck :)
