I was on the depo shot for about 6 months or so, I had only gotten 2 shots. It took us about a month or two to concieve. The depo really does mess with your body and I have read some horrifying stories aobut people not being able to get pregnant after depo for a year or more. There are things you can do to get pregnant, like detoxify your body or talk to your doctor about what you can do.

You are possibly getting pregnant. If you try to conceive, you will need to complete the cycle, so they don't have irregular bleeding. You will have to wait for several weeks or months after the removal of the birth control, since you may get the adverse effects from birth control, such as; irregular period, incomplete ovulation, and fertility problem. For more detailed information on how to succesfully conceive a baby, kindly visit this link: http://aboutgettingpregnant.com . Hopefully, people will find it really helpful.

it is very common! I never used it but I'm a nursing student getting ready to graduate and on average it takes women 9-10 months for their fetrility to return after depo. My physician told me he's seen some women who it takes a year and a half for them to ovulate after depo. It really screws with your body. So then if you think it could take a whole year and a half to ovulate then most people don't get pregnant right away so it could be another 4 months or so. Good luck! You might look into natural family planning. That's what me and my husband use and we used it to avoid and recently achieve a pregnancy :)

My sister and I both were on injections for years and nither of us had any problems conceving after. She did wait a bit after it was out of her system though, but it was only a few months after that I became pregnant.Best of luck.

I've never had the injection but did experience it taking awhile to get pregnant the second time. It really surprised me because we got pregnant with our first child IMMEDIATELY lol so I figured it would be the same when we started trying to have a second. Lets just say we started trying in October of 08 and didn't conceive until February of 09. I know its been longer for you, but maybe sometimes making a baby isn't as easy as we think it is. I sure was surprised, I didn't think it would take as long as it did, but it did. Its all about timing, have you tried an ovulation kit? Have you been having regular periods? I'm not a doctor and know nothing of your situation, but I woudn't worry, worry is the worst thing you can do actually. Stress does crazy things on the body. Just relax, enjoy your life for what it is right now and stop "trying". Do it for the fun of it ;p That's just my suggestion. If you really feel something is wrong, maybe talk to your ob about it? But don't worry! :D
