My 14 month old wont hardly eat as of 3 days ago. Has anyone else had this problem?

this happened 2 my daughter wen my son was born i tried everythin butall she wud eat was crisps at 1st i gave in but then i got tough and tuk crisps away she soon realised she was gettin hungry and asked 4 dinner. it sounds mean i no but u need 2 b hard on her and explain she needs 2 eat 2 b a big girl and feed her wen she wants feedin just 4 a while 2 start her eating again then get her bk 2 set meal times its not a quick fix but it works xx

My 2 year old son is going through the same thing right now. I just ask him throughout the day if he wants a snack (but I make it a healthy one.) He normally says "no" but every once in a while I can get him to eat a small snack. That way, he may not be eating whole meals, but at least I know he has some kind of food in his belly. My prediatrician said that it was normal as long as he isn't losing weight or acting sick.

my doctor told me its a stage they go thru...my 19 month old barely eats anything for the past few weeks and has actually lost 2 lbs but he isnt concerned as long as she is happy and playing...and she would rather drink milk than eat a meal...i started giving her pediasure before bed time just to make sure she is getting something. he told me to make sure she stays very active and her appetite will come back...I wonder if the pregnancy has something to with it...my daughter has regressed a bit and I think she knows something is going on...maybe the lack of eating is a way to get attention?

my david did this. scared the pants offa me that he wouldnt eat. but he would drink so the dr said not too much to worry about that when he was hungry he would. he doesnt eat alot and sometimes he only eats like 3-5 bites in an entire day but i make sure to have milk on hand and a gummy vitamin. davids longest time without eating anything was about 8 days! so if she wont eat see if she'll drink that pedasure stuff for kids so that way you know shes getting what she needs even tho she wont eat solids. but still check with your dr. but keep offering her stuff to eat and when she wants to bite she will.

thanks. she hasnt been sick or anything and she has been having normal  bowel movements and drinking plenty.

They do know when they are hungry, but 3 days is a little much. - The only time my daughter hasn't had an appetite at all, she came down with HFMD after the loss of appetite. She also got a terrible fever of 104.5 with it. I would just monitor and if no fever or any other symptoms, I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe call the doc and see what they have to say.
