period a week late, negative pregnancy test?

So my period is a day late and still neg test! This would be my 3rd child and I have no problems getting pregnant in the past, we had sex for the past 3 week all during my ovulation and really expected to be pregnant but it's not looking that way....this is our first month trying but I guess I didn't think it would be difficult. Also to top it off I have had all the symptoms like tiredness, nausea, crankiness..

OK...I had sex almost 3 weeks ago...I am now 5 days late...all neg hpt tests...cramping for over a week...my other pregnsncies tested positive right away...could I be pregnant or just late or have my period but no bleeding?

Okay so my cycle is now 6days late and I have taken 5 HPTs and all neg. also a week before my cycle was due I had gotten sick like a lil small cold with a stuffy nose but once my next cycle day was due the cold went away.I use the restroom alot more now,and ii took a nap one day last week and woke up like ii had a mouth full of coins and ii need something to drink! I cant get any good sleep and more...So could I b prego>??

So im a week late 2 negative pregnancy tests. But I have what feels like a stretching feeling in my way lower stomach, I get random nausea a couple times a day, my breasts are already getting bigger, im constantely feeling like im starving even 20 mins after I just ate, and I get horrible hot flashes. I never had any of this with my first pregnancy but I just feel pregnant does anyone think I could still be pregnant even though I had 2 negative tests.. I had sex about 3 weeks ago and that would have been the only time I could have conceived..

okay so i have a question.

in october i had unprotected sex several times over one weekend (dont judge)

i had taken a pregnancy test 2 weeks later exactly, it came up negative , i was then 2 days late for my period .. but i thought that could just mean anything . now i have been having pregnancy like symtoms,

-constipation- its reallly unusual for me to have to go several times a day and thats exactly what has bbeen happening sometime i feel like i have to really bad then its only one little poop that comes out...(hahah embarressing)

-Fatigue/Tiredness

-Backaches- have deffinetly been a major thing

-Rib pain- aslo a big thing but i assume that would be from having to shit all the time

- Smell Sensitivity

- i dont know if this is one either but i play sports and i'm usually the go go go person but i have been so tired and after one drill in practice i feel exhausted. and i got some pretty bad heart pain too ,

its just happened to me hun i did a test last wk and it said that i wasnt but ive just done two tests today and they both come bk that i am my advise to u is wait for another week and if u havent come on ur period by then, then do another test hope this helps xxx tina

i how are u all doing i really need some help



from i had my period July 20 2012, that lasted 7 day i havent had a next one up to now. i have took about 6 hpt and all came back negative. i have been having terrible back pain alot of lower abdominal cramps and belly cramp, feeling queesy at time and i get up to pee alot at nights.now im 12 weeks and 3 days late i went to the clinic last friday and i told her about my situation and she told me to do a pregnany test but i told her i did one before i came and it was negative also. so she sent me to do a blood test but it wasnt to check for hcg it was to check for amenorhea. now im waiting on the results. i dont what to think im planning to go to a gyno tomorrow and get an ultra sound or something of that sort..im really fed up.

Just to keep you all posted, now 11 days late and I'm still getting nothing but negative pregnancy tests. I have an appointment with my midwife the 24th...don't know what to think. Still experiencing nausea and big time! The cramps are still pretty mild and my nipples are pretty dark...will be interesting to see what comes out of all this! I will keep you posted.

This is my second child and for the first I didn't even test until I was more than a week late. I only tested because I kept feeling hot and light headed and thought, hmm maybe. Sure enough, HPT showed a positive. My first is now almost 3. My husband decided to try for number 2 and in March had a miscarriage. It was really hard to start trying again, but I eventually got there and now I am a week late but only negative pregnancy tests...I've tried about every other day since my missed period. I have all the symptoms I did with my daughter so I'm wondering if it's just going to take awhile. I have an appointment to see my midwife in a few weeks, but ugh I'm so impatient! Symptoms: Hot flashes, dizzy, feel full all the time, missed period, sore breasts. I guess we shall just play the waiting game...

Same is happening to me, I'm now 12 days late terrible heart burn and bloating, cramps started 4 weeks ago was quite bad on n off for couple of seconds but then went, no bleeding or periods

I never had this in my last pregnacy and did a yes last Sunday 25th which was 5 days late ,

I am in the same thing. I have been trying for a baby for about 8 months now and nothing until a few days ago I realized my period didn't come. I am about 6 days late from my expected period date and I took my first test and it was neg. Idk if it is too early to tell or what. How could you tell if you ovulate later in your cycle? Is there even a way to tell? PLEASE I NEED HELP!!!

Ok now I dnt feel so abnormal. My son is 7 weeks old, since his birth I bleed for two week. Then spotted for 1 day. Im currently both breastfeeding / Formula feeding. I've been intimate with my spouse a few times, and pregnancy tests are negative!:). But still no period :( . Im worried!!!!!!

I am now 13 days late. I had been on birth control but got off of it over two months ago. A month after stopping birth control I had a normal period, now nothing. I have taken 2 at home pregnancy tests and both were negative. I took one at 5 days late and then one at 10 days late. I talked to my doctor and she said wait a week and test again (at 2 weeks late). I am planning on testing again on day 15 of missed period. Me and my husband are trying to conceive and this waiting game is frustrating. I have had one baby (which I got pregnant while on birth control) so it is very frustrating to try and conceive while not on birth control but it apparently was easy to get pregnant when we weren't trying and on birth control. Any ideas? Do you think 16 days after my missed period is sufficient time to test again? And I'm not sure of ovulation date... I know people say some people ovulate later in their cycle... could it be that I ovulated late and just got pregnant later in my cycle than expected?

i came in one night 2 nights ago and desided to take a preg test, i seen the Dark Pink Line, didnt concentrate on a faint Line so i just put it on the side,, .. i woke up in the morning on the first preg test and there was this Faint Pink Line, Clear as to Noticing it, Well Now, ive bought 3 today, i taken my second one and it did the same a verryyy Faint Pink Line and it taken the Control Line abit longer then usal on the second test, Now i taken the third one and it was clear as day Having one pink line which was the control Line? ... How come i had 2 verrryy Faint Pink Lines on 2 of them and one Negative :/ Thankyou?

Call your DR if you don't start and get a blood test.. Even then they can tell you because if you are not pregnant your hcg hormone wont show up at all.

Well each one is different and a lot depends on what time of day it is. Generally they don't show positive on a store bought test at only a week late. You can schedual a blood test with your doctor. You can wait another week and try another test. Sometimes periods can be a little off sinq for other reasons too. I hope you are pregnant! :) Maybe the test was just bad or expired or it is still tooo early to tell for sure. Either way just try to stay calm.

my friend is going through this right now. She is going on week 7 of no period.and all negative tests. the doctor said if she didnt start next week that she would do blood work. The doctor told her that sometimes after being on birth control (expecially for long periods of time) that your body can take awhile to get a real period because its used to being made to have a period. expecially if you had irregular periods before. but the good news is that even though you arent getting your period you can still ovulate. you just dont know when you are pregnant until you get a positive test.

I was 10 days late, and 4 negative pregnancy tests. I was obviously wrong on ovulation, instead of being a 28 days cycle, which I used to be, but I have had 3 children since then, I must be like 32 days. Anyway I am now 12 weeks pregnant, and ended up taking 4 neg, and 4 positive tests. Good luck to you.

i took 2 test and got negative results one at 35 days then at 40 something. the 3rd test came back positive at 50 days. lmp in jan positive test in march....... come to find out i ovulated late.

With my first child I quit taking the pill and got pregnant seemingly instantly after my period, all tests pos. not probs. With this pregnancy, I wrongly assumed we'd have the same luck :( I was 2 wks late and like you took a test @ 1 wk late that came back correctly NEGATIVE :( aside from being horribly devastated...the damn thing was right and I started a wk later :( The next month comes around and I don't wanna get my hopes up...the test was faded, but 2 lines...took two the same way...I waited longer the second time cuz I was so frustrated after the first one! So I was a month along when I got tested @ the clinic and was positive. So i guess just hang in there!

you may be one of those people who ovulate late in their cycle, and therefore if you are pregnant it may be still to early to test positive. I would wait a week or two and try again. Most people ovulate early in their cycle or around 2weeks in thus allowing them to be far enough along to test positive, but it is possible to ovulate at any point in your cycle and thus you may only be one week post conception and to soon to tell. you need to be like 2 to 3 weeks post conception for a test to be positive.

i was 2 weeks late on my period..2 negative home pregnancy tests later i went to the doctors and was told i am anaemic so had a load of tests ordered including a routine pregnancy test...which came back positive!! my mum had 4 negative tests when she was expecting me. it happens!
my advice is (and i know its easier said than done) is relax!! also wen you do the test do it with the first pee of the day and do it mid-stream as that would be the highest concentration of hormones,if still no period-positive test in two weeks i would say go see your doctor who could arrange a blood test which is more accurate.

My period was due on the 11th... I got negatives on the 4th (5 days before) and on the 11th.... then got a positive on the 23rd. Doc says I ovulated on the 4th!!!!!

Usually at the Clinic's they make sure your a month from your missed period to get an accurate test! I would wait another week, if you dont get your period, try another home pg test! If its still negative I would call your health care provider to make sure everything is okay! Good Luck!

It could be a false at home pregnancy test or your period could just be later than normal. Its always good to follow up by peein in a cup at your local planned parenthood or going to your dr. Or it may be too early for it to show up. You can wait another wk and try again or just go to planned parenthood or your dr.

Negative pregnancy tests are almost always correct. I missed a period completely when we were trying for #3, just spotted ONCE, so I was sure I was pg. Pregnancy test came back negative, and sure enough, period came back the next month.
Your best bet is just to be patient, and try again next month! Even if it was super easy to get pg the first time, it can take a little longer the next time you try.

I hate to tell you, but I just recently went through the same thing, felt just like I did when I was pregnant with my first, EVERYTHING! and still a negative test. Called the doc, they told me to wait another week. I did and...you guessed it...I started my period!!! Two weeks late! It sucked!!
