i love my kolcraft contours. you can take the seats off and put them facing anyway you want them too. and you can also get the car seat adapter for newborns. look on www.babiesru.com

I got a 22 month old and a 4 month old, I bought the O'Baby XI Tandem - very similar to the Phil and Teds but cheaper. Its great because when my son my a newborn he could lie underneath and sleep and my toddler had her seat, as he grows he moves to the bottom and my daughter moves into the main seat. Difficult to explain but fantastic buggy! All terrain and very easy to move around. Go to kiddicare.com and put in O'baby XI Tandem - best thing I ever got and when toddler outgrows the buggy then you can use it as a single one but there's always that seat if she gets tired. Good luck

Id try second hand stores if i were you. Nothing wrong with it if you are going to be using it for a short period of time.

I'm in the same boat and looking at the Peg Perego double because I have the single and really liked it for shopping etc (Pliko P3), as well as the Peg infant car seat so it will fit well on the stroller while my older son can sit beside. I think the strollers where the older child can stand is good when they are older (mine will jump off and make a run for it). I also have the Valco stroller where you can add the second seat at the front of the stroller but haven't tried it yet ( I will when the baby comes at the end of March)

I just got the Graco Quattro Tour Duo stroller and so far I really like it. I have tried it out on my toddler and with the infant seat in it. Can't try it with the baby yet, since he's not due until January. It's pretty heavy, but any double stroller will be. It does fit in my really small trunk. It also moves really nice for a double stroller. I tried a lot of them out. One of the best features is that the front seat can hold up to 50 pounds and the back seat 40. My 2 year old is 32 pounds so I really wanted something that could hold some weight. Good luck.

Try going to those used kids stores (once upon a child or children's closet) they buy & sell new & used kids things & they always have strollers new for a great price & you can sell them your old stroller & get more of a discount on the new one.

get a boggie board it attaches to the back of the pram and allows your toddler to feel like a big kid. my son out weighed his stroller at 20 months and buying a double would be a waste of money
