hey thanks guys, theresa n kate thanks now i'm thinking that it might be best if i do it a few weeks after the babies born, as even though it may look like i just want presents i can also show off the baby. i like that idea. but i have the feeling my mum own't host it so maybe it can be a welcome baby kinda thing. but thanx for all ur ideas
The normal time to do a babyshower is about a month before you are due. So early july would be perfect. Get babyshower invites & send them out, make sure everyone responds as soon as they can. You can get babyshower games online, they are a lot of fun! There are some really cute ones online that you can print out. Do a welcome baby cake...bought or if you know someone that can make cakes. For my babyshower the 1st one & it will be for this one as well, we get chips, pretzels, different kinds of sodas, after dinner mints, and chicken & ham salad to make sandwhiches. We get the little tea rolls to make the sandwhiches. There are a lot of cute baby shower decorations out there. Get something to put in the middle of the table where the food will be, balloons, a table cloth. :) you can do little favors for everyone to take home. If you go to a craft store, they always have a section for baby showers & weddings. It will give you some ideas for favors :) Best of luck to you hun!!

My baby shower this time around will be after the baby is born. The first time it was a couple months before. I am finding that since I already have so much of the standard baby gear from my first child, it'll be better for me and everyone else to do it after, and then they can all enjoy the baby as well!

I personally think it's more fun to have it after the baby's born. You get to show off your new baby, and the ppl there get to hold it. Plus then you know for sure if it's boy or girl. Ultrasounds can be wrong. I also think you should ask your mom, sister or close friend to host it for you. then it doesn't look like you just want gifts. Just my opinion.
