I have 6 children too and my husband is the only one working. I haven't figured out how to keep a budget or to manage my time very well, am working on it. Maybe we can help each other. Hope you have a blessed day.

Coupons! You can get them from the Sunday paper, or online at a coupon clipping site, or Ebay.

Plan meals from what's on sale, and buy what you have coupons for.

Start a binder, and start stockpiling when the prices are at their lowest. For example, my store has Muir Glen canned tomatoes on sale, I went and got 10 cans (coupons were doubled) and they were free. Also got 5 reusable grocery bags, cause it was 1 for every 2 cans you bought-total value was $21.90, I paid tax on the bags.

Go and join hot coupon world dot com, and look for your grocery store in the Grocery forums-they will lay out for you all the deals, and what coupons to use.

coupons and plan meals. don't buy unnecessary items at the grocery store. keep the kids snacks to a minimum and monitor what they are having for snack (i.e. don't let them eat the whole box of crackers). I also have found that shopping around saves me a ton, I go to the farm store for dog food and I go to the bread outlet store for bread, you can get 4 loaves for what 1 costs at the grocery store. I never, never, never do my shopping at WALMART!!!!! I always buy impulse items there. If I have to go there for something, I go get it and leave. We have 3 kids with my hubby being the only income in the house and those are just a few things that help me. Good luck!
