Went on Bedrest since November 3rd, I've been diagnosed with a short cervix.. I now can no longer work out, work. Just relax but it was been extremely hard.

You could make your son/daughter a quilt. Wouldn't that be sweet? and it would take up plenty of time, of course depending on how detailed you made it. You could also write letters to your baby. Just a couple of thoughts!

.Hmmm, watch movies, read books (find a series you like and finish it), figure a budget, crossword puzzles, sudoku, jigsaw, Nintendo DS games, manicure, paint-by-number, knit, crochet, rug-hook, any crafty type stuff. Make lists of things you need or want to do and then when you're able, you can refer to them.

Maybe you could work on birth announcements with crafts you already have. Also, if you plan to cloth diaper you could hand sew some! It would be a ton of work, but maybe depending on how you have to sit it could be fun.

Get Netfilx and order TV shows that you had always wanted to watch but never had time to watch before. That's what I did. It did get boring, but it was better than nothing!

Crafts, crocheting, knitting, sewing, reading, tv, movies. Maybe plan to have your girlfriends come over and have a movie night and do makeovers and games and all the stuff girls do when they are young and have slumber parties. It may sound childish but it can be really fun. It's not like you have to play mystery date or anything. You can find other more adult, yet fun games like guesstures or something. I also recommend scrapbooking. If you want to make a baby book, I suggest making the layouts now while you have the time. Then just put the pictures in later. It helps because once the baby comes it's going to be hard for you to find time for that. Hope this helps.

I was on bedrest 4 1/2 wks. with my son. Cross-stitching is a God-send! Also, my favorite books are: The Guardian (Nicholas Sparks), the Twilight series, Gerald's Game (Stephen King), The Lovely Bones (Alice Sebold), The Bridges of Madison County (much better than the movie!) & Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas (James Patterson). If you like to read, these books are amazing if you haven't read them already! And, of course, ANY Harrison Ford movie! Best wishes!

Knitting, crocheting, latch hook, word games, sudoku, puzzles, sketching, writing stories, blogs, video games, learn a new language, organize and search for new recipes, eye spy with kids (where they describe something in the house and you have to guess what it is), etc. Do not under any circumstances start ordering things from television, hahahaha. A lot of people on bed rest find the shop at home channels and go absolutely nuts ordering things and then realize that they can't get up to let the UPS man in each time he comes. Good luck and take care.

I just wanted to say I feel for you, they put me on bedrest - multiple times during the pregnancy with a deployed hubby it wasn't that easy. I will tell you, that when I actually listened... the only way I was able to sit my butt in bed, was to assign myself organizing tasks... I organized my address books, my birthday lists, I even started coloring again, oh yeah - and I designed on the computer baby decorations, like lettering and sayings, I kept a journal too... Bed rest sucks, no lie.. but get caught up on all the little things that you normally wouldn't do because it required sitting on your butt.. :)

I was on bedrest for four and a half weeks with my twins. It sounds like you may have to go longer. I'm sorry. It helped me to kind of have a routine. Wake up, move to couch, check email, watch regis and kelly, shower, have lunch (friends usually brought it a few days a week), take a nap, watch oprah, read. It helped me to have certain times on the clock to do things.

Do your Christmas Cards, organize a photo album, read, play board games with a friend or your husband or kids. I was on bedrest for 3 weeks and I agree, it was hard. Good Luck
