Instead of paying $1.07 for a container of baby food I cook carrots, green beans, peaches and other fruits and vegetables and run them through my blender. I only do enough for a week and place in used baby food containers in my fridge that way none of it goes to waste.

As an addition, you can cook this food and put it in ice cube trays in the freezer.  Once frozen, place them into plastic bags labelled with type of food and date.  Fruits and Vegetables prepared this way are good for up to 3 months, and each ice cube is 2 tablespoons!

A friend of mine made her daughter's food by purifying it and she has saved so much money. Plus it is healthier for you baby anyway.
