I started baking my own bread about 2 weeks ago. They say it only costs 25 cents a loaf. But it sure heats up the house in the summer. What else can be done to save money on food?

Buy items in bulk if you will use it before it goes bad. Don't buy convience food, but make stuff from scratch. It is a lot cheaper and has a better flavor. The bread store is a great place to buy bread, bagels, english muffins, and much much more.

I buy my bread at the local bread company outlet. I pay $.75 for Sarah Lee bagels that are over $2 at the grocery store. Bread is 2 loaves for $1.89. Can't beat that!
