I'd like to trade my 4 year old's clothing for the next size up. I seem to remember seeing clothing swaps online - where you send in your box of clothes and within a week or so you receive a box of clothes in the size you specified - but at the moment I can't remember where I saw this. Does anyone have experience with this? Or can anyone recommend a trusted site?

I have never consigned children's clothes before and (like all of us) feel this might be too time consuming. I paid good money for the clothes and would like to get some benefit for the gently worn items. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. (Trying to stay within a tight budget this year).

ThreadUp.com used to be a swap site, now they only do consignment. That can still be handy if you have the brands they prefer. They don't accept some common brands.

We have a place called Once upon a Child that pays cash on the spot. Not sure if it's nationwide though.

Edit- but I guess you could find someone looking for that size and swap them through the mail.

I've never heard of online clothing swaps. I take my daughter's too small clothing and sell it to a children's clothing store (if they want it thats the next question)
