Conserve money on gift wrapping

Gift Wrap is so expensive anymore. Many times the wrapping costs more then the gift did!

One suggestion to cut back on cost of gift-wrapping is to use small rectangles on the wrapping for the tags. Just fold in 2 and write how its to/from and attach to the coordinating wrapped gift.

Another suggestion is to use reusable gift bags, whether a cup, a mug, a basket, or a bag. Keep the bags that you receive gifts in to reuse at another time.

I agree with Ann, I have been known to use the comics quite often. I also like using plain white or brown (butcher) paper on the large rolls. I decorate with cut out comics. (I also use the Marvin comics for my dad, as that is his name- he always got a kick out of it) I also use the scraps of left over Christmas paper or even the stamps. And I definately reuse gift bags and boxes. Me and my husband gets the same box from our prespective mother every other year and of course the mothers gets gifts back the other years from us.

Use old newspapers, especially the comics. Sure, your hands end up black in the end, but it's a great way to recycle!

I use the brown paper lunch sacks, 50 for $1 at the store. When the kids were little I let them decorate them with rubber stamps with Christmas designs. I also use stickers and a hole punch and tie them with pretty ribbon. For large gifts we used the large grocery bags and glue scraps of Christmas paper to cover the store logo. The girls always had fun helping Mommy wrap gifts.
