I save my change, and am surprised by my treasure chest at the end of the month. Especailly when i lived in Canada...I once cleaned the change out of my pockets when I did laundry and had 12 dollars! Those loonies and toonies are so great!

Okay, don't laugh. So, obviously I'm Asian, rt? :) If you live near an Asian market, shop there! Most of the time, their groceries are half the prices of the big supermarket chains. Oh, that also includes Mexican markets.

Also, if you're a meat eater (didn't want to assume), buy it in bulk and separate them in little Ziploc bags. You can save so much money this way. Especially if it's on sale.

Last, I'm with Kristi on making a list and sticking to it! You'll save so much money this way. Good luck!

Make a list and stick to it! I do this for my small family of 3, but it works. And I never, ever go shopping hungry - I find that I spend way too much on things that aren't a necessity. Another thing, wait for a store to put a food item on sale to use your coupon to get more bang for your clipping. It's always great to hear, "you have saved..." Then, what money is left over from the grocery budget goes into a separate account to save for a special splurge once a month...

When ya break a dollar save the change. We buy our food at a dent & cans store it saves tooooooooons. A couple years back we got with another family & did a 2x a month cooking, that was really great not only saved money but time as well. Then we moved :(
